Ok so to explain why hakuro was talking to a severed head it's bc he chopped it off so fast that the guy was still alive and the guy that lost his head slowed down time around him which made it seem even longer so he was still alive even with his head off

Late comment here I know, but it must have really sucked for that Brock looking MFer. If it’s true that a head can stay “alive” for upwards of 30-45 seconds after a decapitation, to him that was about 2 to 2.5 hours of awareness as just a head.
