According to ESPN Stats & Info, Elias Pettersson won the NHL Hardest Shot at the All-Star Skills Competition. His 103.2 MPH shot is the 2nd-fastest by a forward all-time behind Steven Stamkos at 103.9 in 2016. A Swedish-born player has now won two years in a row (Victor Hedman won last year).

And it was overrun by shots of Ovechkin and a Karlsson interview.... please learn something from this, Sportsnet. @@Sam-2468 not really. Ovi8 had 10-12 previous cracks at this event. Only scoring a high of 101.3 one single time. So not even a threat. EP40 shot over 100mph on all 4 attempts he's tried. And consistently shoots bombs recorded in game clocks. Don't sleep on a guy that shoots 89mph wrist shots. 🤔

Because TV graphics got fed the wrong info, the shot was 103,2 and that was what displayed in the arena.
