I was thinking the same thing. And on top of that, he gives him the bottle, and then awkwardly and abruptly tells him during a phone conversation that their relationship is definitely over because he's moved in with the love of his life. Kind of a slap in the face. I can't stand Kalle usually, but I felt horrible for him this one time.

I had the same thought. But, I think Lari wanted to warn Kalle, like break it to him gently that he'd be moving in with Elias before he found out some other way. And the gift was like the thing he knew Kalle would like, probably was his favorite brand or something. -- Or maybe Elias sent the gift to Kalle on behalf of Lari, and his job is a wine dealer. So that makes sense from that perspective. But, yes that was not the best choice of gift. That's staying in the story. In terms of production, I think that prop of that gift fit more into Kalle's alcoholism storyline than it fit into Lari's personality and concerns within the story. Don't think they thought that one through.

Yay! I'm so glad Lari and Marianna will be living together. They need to bond more as a family. I always still feel for Lari that his father abandoned him when he came out. I always like to see them together, and so I'm glad they will get this time to build on that.

It's about time. Lari will fight for his parental rights. I'm sorry; but, this has to happen. I feel bad for Tale, because he was blind-sided that he is not Ilja's father... but, HE IS NOT ILJA'S FATHER. Poor Lari is always getting the short end of the stick. Personally, I think Lari has some level of guilty because he bullied Tale when they were young. Also, that his friendship circle has been his family, and he hasn't wanted to ruin that. But, he can't sacrifice his son to keep friends.

They're actually 19, considering that's the age you usually graduate from high school in Finland, and I think they are supposed to be the same age - or at least they used to be - as Iida and Tale who just graduated... Well, however they can't be (or they shouldn't be) older than 20, at tops.

Lari is older and celebrated his 18 with Elias in part 194. Elias celebrated his 18 ( part 274 )kidnapped by Marianna. Ronny is actually 27 and Petteri 24.

Neither of them has a lot of money. Lari had his own place and Kalle stole it from him. Besides loads of working class young adults live with their parents. I believe they are 6 months apart in age and both are still 19

I think they might both still be 19 but about 16 or more months apart. I think the way time passes on the show is not the same as in real life so what has been a year to us might only be 6 months on the show.

For being heartbroken? He acted altruistically and saved Lari's life--twice! A lesser man could have performed ever so slightly less competently and let the critically injured patient die so that no fault would be placed on the doctor. Consider how conflicted he must have felt during the surgery, saving the beautiful man he loved passionately so that man could return to his rivals arms. Kalle's character demonstrated real character.
