For a yahoo like me, it is encouraging if not comforting to watch you fish, think and talk through your decisions in an unedited format making process. It gives me a realistic view and expectation when I venture into new places. Thanks for doing this.

These uncut videos really show if its a good or bad fishing day. The edited videos make it look like its a non stop action fishing day which we all know its not always that way. I enjoy watching your videos.

If you are where I think you are, a lot of the bigger crappie in there have worms in the flesh. TC. Loving the unedited vid so far man! Where the smaller creek hits the main creek is a known yellow perch spot. Live shiners on a bottom rig just inside of RC, before you get out into the main creek. This time of year is when they're there.

So many of the crappie up Neuse way have the little red worms too. Gross

@@TridentDriver If it's just one I'll cut it and the flesh around it out. But some if the 13 and 14 inchers in the tidal waters down here are just full of them. I read it comes from bird poop. In my experience down here it's only in the tidal waters though.

Hey brother, interesting going long format, although I thought several times that the progression blip on the bottom of the screen was stuck🤣. Kept whacking the iPad....As for verbal content, one thing I appreciate most about your video style is the lack of insipid filler content blather that so many other angling KZbinrs spew. I hate the hype yells, overuse of superlatives and general pro wrestling banter so common in fishing videos. Thanks for just being you - it's what we tune in for! As for slow days, I just spent 6 hours on the ice of Lake Winnipesaukee Saturday hoping for a tip-up flag or a thump on my jigging ice rod......nothing. At least you put several fish over the gunwale. Mad props.

In my opinion, for what it's worth, I enjoy the long-form, unedited content. I do not get out nearly as much as I would like to these days so the long-form content makes me feel like I'm out there breathing the fresh air. Additionally, I like the "talking to yourself" critical thinking aspect hearing you break down a spot and detailing how you're going to fish it. It provides a lot of insight, and while you mention a lot of that stuff in your short-form content, I can't imagine it captures all the good stuff. Keep up the good work!

Living in an area where we ice fish 4 months out of the year, I laugh (ha,ha) at your idea of cold water. In cold water situations, less is more when it comes to live and action of your lures. scent is also important when getting fish to bite during cold water periods. I use lure shaking, lifting and holding when vertical jigging. Love the videos.

Been putting in the effort to learn crappie. Started having better sucess locating fish with minnows on a slip cork, when I get on them switch to artificial. One thing has become clear for crappie, the bottom 3rd of the water column is useless. Best luck with artificials has been a underspin with a bobby Garland then jigs under slip cork. A lot of the fish on the slip cork will hit after 3-5sec dead stop.

Sometimes they’ll be down there too - speaking from experience. But that is typically after very cold weather. Every weather pattern will change their experience that’s for sure! Good tip on the underspin thank you!

Mostly in NC , people setup with cane poles and like 3 feet depth bobbers with a small hook and small sinker and they set up like 10 poles and troll them very slowly down shallow creeks. Crickets are the choice bait. Once the water gets about 55 , you can do that and one ya bobbers start going off , stop , and anchor up and catch a mess of em. Good fishing , lazy fishing but good stuff. When you hit a school of em , its pretty crazy.

You don't really understand "ultralight"! for us in UK it can be 1/2 lb and under. My standard line would be 4lb, heavy 7lb. But it has to be understood that line must be matched with the rod, so it has to be difficult to break the line against the rod.
