To my nose this is one of the most sexy fragrances I ever smelled on a woman. It's sweet but not a Pink Sugar kind of sweetness, there's also a big warm bitter note. Love it a lot.

It smells sweet, almondy, vanilla like perfume. Not for everyone. It’s bold, Good for wearing a dress and a late night event.

I'm so late to the party. I just got a bottle of this and really like it. I actually AM a Girl of Yore (so funny!!), but definitely feel that Nowness is a state of mind :) Happy '23 to you all. As a side note, listening to your reviews always makes me hungry. You describe fragrances as if you are eating them. It's actually a good thing :)

This fragrance was a breath of fresh air for me. I have been so disappointed in most of the new releases, not because they are inferior fragrances, but because for some reason they don't work on my skin, it's so frustrating. But this one does, and I get all the lactonic floral notes that you speak of here. I love gourmand floral's and this has it in spades but not overly sweet, and yes, a "twang" of something that reminds me a little of like sour cherry but not full on cherry. It's got warmth, it's full and dense and interesting. I love it. Great review!!

For me, it’s like a fog of cream and coconut. It’s smooth, sweet, dull fragrance with a low sillage! It takes several sniffs to get what are you smelling!

To me this is a syrupy marzipan warm white floral with a touch of pear. It’s quite sweet so you definitely need to like that if you’re to like GON.

I’m 16 years old and just getting into perfume. I do love a good gourmand-y, warm scent but am starting to get into soft florals. This one caught my eye because I enjoy the almond note and I don’t see it in too many perfumes. This review increased my interest! :)

My mom bought it. Loved it, the second time she used it she hated it so she gave it to me. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I’m more of a dark smell, montale Paris rose musk type of perfume lover. Not so much into sweet notes but I’ll give it time and wear it at least once before judging

I find it unbearably synthetic.My queen of marzipan/almond is Louve by SL; with a nice, soft, more casual alternative of Baiser du Dragon by Cartier.

I get SALT in girl of now as well. There is a piquancy in girl of now that I didn’t expect before trying it. To my nose it’s spicy, salty, and beneath that it is sweet, and I totally agree with you about the lack of pistachio, getting a white floral vibe instead. Sweet and sour for sure. I only notice how sweet it is when I’ve been smelling or wearing non-sweet perfumes. I find on my skin it does sit rather close and lasts maybe 4 or 5 hours, but that is typical for me :-) Your reviews are the best and so descriptive and helpful!

The notes sound very attractive to me; granted I’ve never smelled it before. There is not a lot of musky or powdery smelling notes it seems, and no roses! Which is rare- most generic/designer perfumes nowadays have rose in it. It is going to be sweet, but not candy-sweet where it’s cloying and screeching for attention lol. Just reading the notes, it gives me baccarat rouge vibes, not the scent itself, but the fact that it’ll probably be pretty linear in the best way possible. Unfortunately it does not have woody notes in it, which what I love about baccarat rouge: sweet and woody, not musky at all.

@zaif not even close. Scandal is more of a honeysuckle cloud that you can’t get out of but Girl of now is more of sweet oriental flowers however not overwhelming as scandal with a creamy almondy a bit fruity feeling. It’s so creative.

Not really sure, usually though I would look for a batch code printed in black letters on the box. I'm not sure Elie Saab is a brand that gets faked a lot. It's usually Chanel and Dior.
