I think Yusuf should confront Melek and find out who’s the man she’s been seeing and how she knew him, from there he’ll know the truth about Layla. If Melek is choosing that guy does she consider her daughter Elif or is she just being selfish? Elif needs a father figure because she never had one, the one she grew up calling father was a brutal beast who was abusing her, Melek and Zeynep as such she never enjoyed any father-daughter relationship. Her identity was hidden from Kenan even though she was right under his roof, when it was finally uncovered Kenan didn’t spend much time with her before he died, that again deprived Elif of the father-daughter relationship. Since Elif met Yusuf she’s been drawing closer to him, she longs for that father-daughter relationship with Yusuf, but Melek is so blind to see her daughter’s desire to have a father. That guy she’s seeing doesn’t know that she’s got a daughter, will he accept Elif when he comes to know that Melek’s got a seven or eight year old daughter? These are all questions she should consider before she blindly takes a decision. Elif wants someone she can depend on as a father and she’s found that in Yusuf, but her mother through her stupidity wants to deprive her of that.
