Cannot believe it's already been a week since the release of this masterpiece. Have been listening to it every day! Just wanted to check you have it copyrighted though Elijah, as I have seen other channels sharing this entire album with no link to this original source... One in particular I just saw was from "Mr Momo". Hope you keep on top of it as everyone's going to want to cash in on this gem of yours.

35:00 "I'm writing a poem about a dream I had. The tiger's eyes are like my own, But he comes from across a deep and troubled sea." Finally I have found where these lines originate from - "The Last Samurai". For those who like to dig deep, here is an interpretation of this mysterious quote: "The Last Samurai is a 2003 Hollywood epic, a Japanese-American co-production, which tells the story of Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise), an American Civil War soldier, who goes to Japan. Disillusioned by the American Civil War and the Indian Wars, in which he fought and lost his ideals and moral values, Algren becomes an egoistic, greedy, permanently drunk soldier, who has no respect for himself or anyone else. At the same time, thousands of miles away, Katsumoto (Watanabe Ken), a Japanese Samurai warrior, has to witness how his world falls apart when Japan becomes more and more westernized. ... Not only Algren but also Katsumoto crosses cultural and mental frontiers. Both are affected by the encounter with a foreign culture and although they come from different cultural backgrounds, they share similar experiences and ideals as warriors. This is emphasized in one of the key scenes of the movie, when Katsumoto starts to write a poem about his encounter with the American. The poem starts with the lines: "The tiger's eyes are like my own. But he comes from across a deep and troubled sea." By this, Katsumoto expresses that he and Algren, as warriors and human beings, are very much alike and only come from different cultural backgrounds." Source: Iris-Aya Laemmerhirt (2007) "The Tiger's Eyes Are Like My Own": Depictions of Japaneseness in Contemporary American Movies copas.uni-regensburg.de/article/view/97/121

I stumbled across you on Spotify for some strange reason (運命か?)a few years back and upon listening I was immediately transported back to my days living in Japan. It was one of the most magical nostalgic rides of my life. I introduced you to my friends with whom I share a special kindred connection (the experience of Japan) and they immediately identified similarly. Keep the beats up, my man.

Gaijin was one of my first interests in lo-fi and it has been on my Chill playlist since the day I heard it. Thankfully I was listening to it yesterday, and today the Google algorithm sent me a notification about this beauty. Thank you for yet another awesome tracklist!
