For the remaining crusty thermal paste that can be seen at 12:42 you could use a hard toothbrush followed by some air to blow of the crumbs afterwards.Thats how I always clean it :)

I had the same issue when selling a pc with a gtx 1080. People don't realize that they are still fairly capable cards, they just want new. I'd try sticking to 2070's or 3060's and higher. I'd even consider swapping in a better card and relisting

Yo you should get an ssd and put windows and all software you need to benchmark. This would save you money and maximize efficiency. (or hard drive) whatever storage device you need.

My biggest issue is finding well-priced GPU's and PSU's. Motherboards, CPUs and RAM bundles are all over and decently priced. But I genuinely can't find deals for GPU's and PSU's. This is btw in Denmark. But yeah, just gonna keep looking.

I think it's a good deal. Is it a 6GB 1060? In comparison, I paid $300 for a PC that came with an MSI Z370-A PRO Motherboard, i7 8700k, ASUS GTX 1060 6GB Turbo, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, an AIO cooler, and an open air case with 7 ARGB fans. Mine didn't come with a PSU or any storage but I already had those from a previous build. I did buy a 1TB NVME M.2 SSD to install the OS on for faster startup and load times.

Nooo man, you should only ever clean the old thermal paste from the top of the silicon itself, never ever try to clean the bit around the silicon, very high chance of knocking off the SMDs. He's doing it correctly.
