i just recently built a R5 3600/5700xt rig for 430, and sold it for $600. All new parts besides the CPU and GPU. PC flipping is the shit if you have the passion for building and patients to wait for sales to happen.

$400 cash for an R5 1660 + GTX 1660 is nuts (for you to be able to sell at that price). Your aesthetics game on these PCs is helping sell these for sure! Nice work man. @@TheWhite117 Hes not a hater. 400$ is a lot for an R5 1600 (op misspelled this) + a GTX 1660. Ive been flipping PCs consistantly for about 6 months now (EU) and I usually sell R5 3600 + GTX 1080 builds for around that price +/- maybe like 50$ (that CPU is around 20, and the GPU 50% better than the RTX 1660). However I do maximum performance builds with minimal cost going towards case/peripherals/fans/non-stock coolers (I use stock). Elijahs Lab just builds PCs that look better with more expensive cases. Fortunately for him, that is probably the better strat, since most customers/buyers are pretty dumb (to say it informally). For example, they would never know a 1080 is better than a 1660 (~1660 higher number me idiot must be better~). And also they judge by looks mostly (is what I have found out to be the case). Its not hating, its just pointing out that he is doing a good job getting someone to pay this amount of money for these parts in 2023. Just proves his PC aesthetics are really well done. Also, hate it or not, thats just business; buying/building for the cheapest cost possible and selling for the maximum amount you can get. If you dont like this principle, you are probably wrong on this channel and shouldnt ever persue a job that is related to economics.

@@awayvfx4692 I love your standard combo of a R5 3600 + GTX 1080! The R5 3600 offers exceptional value, but I'm sure you already are aware of that. Unfortunately the everyday person isn't aware of ins and outs/value offered by each component, but brand recognition (like an NVIDA GPU) and nice aesthetics definitely help push sales. Personally I think that when people look to buy secondhand/on local market places they want as close to 'new' as possible and that spending a little extra on a case and some cable extensions can really help sell a build.

AIO Installation from the 6:30 PC is critical. The pump is not the lowest point in the loop which creates a risk of air trapped inside the pump. Causes the pump to be louder and increases wear a lot because it's not as "lubed" as before. Just something to watch out for in your future sells. Great series btw, very interesting concept.

Hey man just built my first ever pc and I’m having a few problems first the Red cpu and dram lights are on I’ve tried everything from resetting them to resetting the cmos nothing is helping think my mobo might be broken

For this to work, first is you need to be in a big city with lots of people, then you focus on the aesthetics by building in a good case, RGB etc coz people are dumb, and finally be patient and keep it as side hustle. I myself sold a guy a RTX 4070 FE for $700 and when buyer came for pickup, he asked me if I have RGB fans, ram etc. I had a bunch of them and I charged him a good amount of money and built it for him too coz he was novice in building. But I mostly focus on selling pc parts for profit coz I don’t have time for building as I do a full time job which pays 6 digit salary. This is my side hustle where I scalp.

@@zoopa9988 Ya, I do it for enjoyment mostly. I am not a professional scalper with bots. I mostly buy a few units to resell them. It is all extra income for me and is inconsistent. Some months I earn $1500 and some months when I am busy with work, I earn $300. But as you mentioned, I am planning to stop it lately as it no longer provides the benefit it used to when I earned less a few months ago when I was a student. My new corporate job pays significantly higher and doing this is not worth my time anymore as you said. I have developed that habit and I am changing it for sure…

just letting yall know flipping computers isn't always easy, craigslist and facebook local marketplace is your best bet but even that situation it isn't always the best way of going about it because you're not guaranteed a sell because the location you live in isn't dense enough for a market for a used pc.

Where I live it is dense enough with people but they have really odd ideas when it comes to pricing. They'll try and sell a GTX970 for near its original MSRP but try and sell a complete system with that 970 in and you'll get really lowball offers.

I'd suggest swapping the case as starters. Your target audience will most likely be 8-15 year olds and you know they love their rgbs and care about the look of their pc. So i would go with cheap windowed case. Im not too certain what cpu fan optiplex typically has but looking at google, the stock fan looks FUGLY. Replace that with a decent performing and looking cpu fan. Go with gtx 900- or 1000-series. Gtx 970 or better from the 900s or 1050ti or 1060 6gb or better if going with 1000s.

I tried flipping PC's and man it is so flipping(pun intended) stressful. Not worth the time invested for me personally. All the stress and time looking for parts, assembling, and answering/talking to potential buyers is just not worth it. I spend 10+ hours on a computer to get $50-$100 in the end just doesn't make sense to me. May work for other people, just not for me. I thought I would enjoy it, but I don't enjoy it one bit.
