I admire her a lot because going back to 2016, I saw her as a good player but not clearly with top 10 potential. She just didn't seem to have the weapons. She's not the most natural ball striker but she gets the job done, and although nothing is that smooth, she has quite an array of shots in all areas of the court. Isn't afraid to try things either, and can adapt to an opponent or a surface. Very similar to someone like Sanchez-Vicario. However, unlike Aranxta she doesn't exude confidence in her body language. With Elina there's more that Eastern European grit underlying which helps keep her going when she's down, but I do sense a little anxiety or insecurity in her sometimes which needs a supportive figure to keep her believing. Bettles has been a good fit it seems, in that sense.
