There are some great perks in being the good friend of an incredibly talented singer/songwriter, not the least of which is getting to hear new records before they’re released to the public. When Eliot Bronson played his new album “Empty Spaces” for me the first time, the tequila we were drinking joined forces with the lyrics and melodies leading to idea after idea for music videos. “Empty Spaces,” the title track off his new record, describes life post-breakup when you’re just getting back on your feet again. It reminded me of when I broke off my engagement almost a decade ago. We were living together in a quaint Craftsman bungalow that was half her, half me. The weekend of our split I stayed with a friend so she could move out. When I walked back into the house it was half empty. It stayed that way for nearly six months as I began to put my life back together. When I heard Eliot’s song for the first time, I was immediately transported back to that house. Eliot had a vision for the video-showcasing various items disappearing. I saw it immediately. From there, we made a list of all the things we do to repair ourselves after such a deep wound. That list became this video. Ironically, the song and video are being released into the wild during a time when the entire world has been forced into solitude. The images and emotions of “Empty Spaces” chronicle life in quarantine nearly just as much as life post-relationship. So, whatever situation you find yourself in, I have no doubt this song and video will strike a chord deep within your soul. Enjoy ☺

Thanks for writing this! I can so relate to my life after a breakup two years ago. That I after a while realized that I managed on my own, that life alone wasn't that bad I thought it would be.
