I just love this movie... For me as a native german, this movie is a big piece of my culture. It's very importand to not forget about our past... And to be ashamed for what our grandfathers did... But also to be proud, that we had such personalities like the Scholl-Sibilings Sophie and Hans or now Oskar Schindler, which tried to fight against this cruelity... Thanks for this awesome cover! Especially for me as german it touched me from the bottom if my heart! ❤

What you have done is taken this to a completely different level and you've put so much soul and heartache into your version played immaculately on the erhu, you've given it new life one that is so beautiful and yet heartbreaking at the same time. This song always makes me sad for two reasons: 1) Being German, the whole topic about the Holocaust and WW2 still fills me with revulsion towards the German population during that time and how humans can lose everything which makes them human for some crooked dream of imperialism. And whatever people in foreign countries think about our culture of remembrance, I don't give a damn: It may not be my fault that this happend, but we surely have to ensure that something like this won't happen again ever. 2) If you take a look at the current situation, history is repeating itself: If things don't work that well economically, people always fall for these stupid nationalist believes all over again, regardless of the country. Great cover as usual, but the song itself is just littered with unpleasant and painful images. I hope one day, people will finally manage to live together peacefully ❤

I did that recording prior to focusing on develloping my Erhu skills for the China tour. And now after 3+ months of pure Erhu training, I can see so many mistakes with the performance too ! Maybe one day I'll publish a live version or an alternative version because I really love the piece and the challenge it is to play on Erhu !

Deeply touching. The chosen environment manages to be evocative in itself, it might very well be the old Schindler's factory. Don't know why really, but during the pandemic, I had this pull to read several books about the Holocaust, and I learned a lot from them, about the strenght and weaknesses of people, but mostly about strenght we can find , especially in our hardest trials. The movie, was also a must watch, since there might be patterns to recognize, so we would not allow it to happen' ever again!

This superb video and sound remind me when I first watched this heart touching movie : the true story of Schindler's list shows the worst side of human beings (the camp, the nazis) but also the empathy, kindness and devotion of other human beings. What about the movie " the dolce Vita "/ Roberto Benigni ? Next one on your agenda ? it shows the same contrast and adds the sense of humour as a way to cope with very dark side of humans !

Not in the streets as my show is kinda complicated technically to perform. But we are slowly settings up tours as soon as we can !

Chinese people already associate Erhu as an instrument for beggar musicians on the street or old grandpas playing for leisure in the park... which is sad as it's a beautiful instrument itself. But that association somehow led to its fading away especially in younger generation... I love the arrangement Eliott did and it totally brought Erhu alive again so I'd love to hear the whole piece.
