Elira and Finana gacha for Kokomi

Elira and Finana enter Genshin Impact with one goal in mind: pulling for the Seiso Fish. Watch Elira and Finana suffer through the gacha.
Editor’s note: No subtitles this time. Sorry. When making a video, I’m usually able to gauge how much I’m able to do in a set amount of time, and adding subtitles with my current IRL schedule would’ve pushed the video back to next week, and I’d rather stick to my yt schedule for fear of the algorithm (ie at least a video once a week). Things like documentary/stories will always get the full workup but little projects like this I’m thinking of being more lax /Meta talk over. Anyway, was pretty fun stitching these two perspectives together where Elira was suffering hard and Finana pretty much got everything that she wanted. Luckily, they both won the 50/50, but amazingly Finana won it three times in a row (for both weapons and character).
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed and published by MiHoYo, that uses the gacha game mechanic or, in other words, a pay-to-win model. A “gacha” is a mechanic described by that which induces players to spend in-game currency (in Genshin, it’s “primogems”) to receive a random virtual item - in this case it would be a weapon or a character. Kokomi is a 5 star / top rarity character that the girls want to win via the gacha.
The “50/50” in Genshin refers to the mechanic where when a player is “pulling” for a character (using the wishes or fates to obtain them from the banner) the player has a 50% chance to pull the rate-up character whenever they pull a 5 star character in the limited character banner. It may also be referred to the “first pity” since you have a chance at the rate-up character whereas the “second pity” guarantees the rate-up character. The “second pity” goes into effect whenever you fail the 50/50, ie you got a different 5 star character than the rate-up, then your next 5 star character is guaranteed the rate-up character. “Soft pity” is built into the Genshin gacha mechanic so after 75 rolls since your last 5 star, the chances of getting a 5 star increase dramatically. The “Hard Pity” refers to the 90th pull where it’s guaranteed to be a 5 star, and then pity is reset.
Nijisanji is a group of mostly 2D-only virtual youtubers (“Vtubers”, or “Virtual Livers” for general streaming purposes) managed by ANYCOLOR Incorporations. Its English branch currently consists of two waves: LazuLight and Obsydia. The former consists of Elira, Pomu, and Finana - a solar sky dragon, a forest fairy, and a tropical mermaid respectively. The latter consists of Selen, Rosemi, and Petra - a lunar sky dragon, a rose maiden, and a frost penguin.

I was really envious of Finana streamer luck until recently but finally, after playing for one and a half years I got my first ever double 5 stars in a single ten pull on top of getting them on early pity, before that, I always get my 5 stars in soft pity on top of losing almost all of my 50/50 Thank Archon I finally got my Venti after losing to his 50/50 in all of his banners, now I have all 3 archons, can't wait for Sumeru and then I will create the ultimate Archon only team
