You’re one of the lucky ones. Good job on quitting.
@hgsyavuz12303 жыл бұрын
In fact, you can stop whenever you want. My father smoked for years and suddenly quit. We were all surprised because he had no such plan. I was smoking too, and it took me a while to think it was stupid. I was no longer as enthusiastic as I used to be, and I was angry with myself. Tired of smelling cigarettes and the possibility of getting sick, I quit smoking. The thing to know is that quitting smoking is not easy. Sometimes I just want to smoke too much. Even when I see someone smoking on the street, I have a nicotine crisis. You can quit smoking, but you can't forget it. I think the correct explanation is that these people can quit smoking whenever they want. It's just difficult and impossible to forget, which can make you unhappy. I quit smoking, I don't drink alcohol anyway, I'm happy for that, but when I have a nicotine crisis, I don't care and I get angry at myself for not smoking. This feeling pisses me off, you understand? Think of it this way, someone who has never eaten chocolate does not want chocolate. But even if someone who knows the taste of chocolate decides not to eat it anymore, he sometimes remembers it and feels like crap. I want to tell people who smoke that you can stop smoking whenever you want. You are stronger than your addiction. I also want to say to non-smokers that if you start smoking, it will be very difficult for you to quit. If you're really determined, you can do it, but for the rest of your life, a piece of you will always be missing. Non-smokers don't understand this. they accuse smokers of being stupid. No, they are not stupid. Imagine that you just stopped drinking water. Of course water is healthy and you need it to live, but addiction is addiction. You shouldn't smoke because you want be able to quit when you want, but because you will sometimes feel shit for the lack of it throughout your life!

One gets pneumonia constantly (my mom is adopting him luckily and he’s gotten sick less now that he’s away from my aunt’s secondhand smoke). Another had to be airlifted to the children’s hospital after she was born. As most of the other comments have said on this video, just don’t smoke. My mum has always smoked. Every day she coughs up her freaking lungs and the sound of coughing now triggers me because I have to cover my ears. Smoking isn’t “cool”, “hot”, “pog”, or any of the three. Instead it’s disgusting, can have major health complications, and can terrify other people. Anytime I see smoke I start to freak out kind of and my mum complains that I have asthma. Life as a smoker’s kid isn’t fun, you don’t get free cigarettes or stuff like that, instead your parents look forward to getting their wages just to buy a new pack of cigarettes, not even looking forward to their wages so they can get something else like some nice clothes, it’s all just cigarettes cigarettes cigarettes. I really need new clothes because all my white t shirts are non existent and instead look really yellow and stink of smoke. We have to paint the doors almost monthly at this point because the white on them also goes yellow. I just wish there was a way it could stop

I‘m so proud of her that she managed to get away from them and her lungs regenerated, although she had started to smoke at the age of 16. Edit: thank you for all those likes and replies! I don't know the exact meaning behind this song but here's how I interpret it: -It's about an abusive/manipulative boyfriend that shows his true colors during an argument by taking it too far and threatening violence towards his girlfriend. He sounds like he's forcing way too much to fake a sickly sweet spiel while she sounds like she's bored or tired of his facade. He is however not done with her yet so she keeps trying to trick her into his own "I am all that you need" view of their relationship. -It's about a boyfriend who's worried sick about his girlfriend becoming a smoker due to his past addiction that probably gave him various health problems judging from his raspy/distorted voice ("Like you always used to do" "I was different then") but he ends up getting overly emotional and lashes out at her. She's starting to increase the amounts of cigarettes she's smoking ("I only did it once." "It's only twice a week.") And since he's a former smoker he doesn't want her to develop the same addiction he used to have or have her be badly influenced by other people. She on the other hand sounds like she's downplaying the situation like "Oh,no biggie." Despite him trying and failing to warn her about the risks of smoking. -Both of them are toxic/abusive towards each other and the song is about i immaturity in relationships or adults in general. Their voices sounds more childish and whiny in some parts of the song like they're trying to mock each other and their comebacks also seem like they come from two kids and not too adults. The girlfriend sounds like she's doing it out of spite and the boyfriend is just as childish by making fun of her for doing that instead of giving her a serious talk. I'm more leaning towards the second one because my mother smokes 2 to 3 packs a day and I get furious at her when she goes "Heh. I'll stop sooner or later." Smokers are stubborn mfs.

I rather think it's about a boyfriend who's addicted to drugs and the gf always told him to stop and some day they had a fight and she was like "now im gonna take it" and then got sorta used to it. I personally believe it’s a story about a girl who starts smoking to be cool, like her boyfriend used to do, and he’s starting to get worried she’s becoming addicted. Her defense? “You used to do it, so why can’t I?” He continuously tries to persuade her to stop, and after a while, he threatens her to stop or else he’ll beat her up. She doesn’t stop, and he doesn’t hit her because it was just an empty threat. I can’t really think of anything else to add... so, uh, I’ll just leave this here.

This song is such a comfort for me since my mom has always been a heavy smoker. I used to often ask, even beg her to stop smoking because I was so worried about her. She always shut me down saying it's not that bad and I'm overreacting. So I stopped asking her, I still cried because of it sometimes and it hurts to this day every time I hear her cough, but I have to keep quiet if I don't wanna provoke an argument. I never dared to touch a cigarette. I never wanted to become like my mom and I never want to. I've often been made fun of it. I don't like going to parties anymore since every bottle and every cough reminds me of my mom and it hurts me every time I see a Marlboro packet.

Been there, still not fully quit due my own reasons, but I think it was never worth my sadness, to start it. I know, life can be super messed up and hard, but I still wouldn't recommend it. This song hurts me so much. It reminds me of being a kid and listening to Melanie Martinez and Jack Stauber. It reminds me of my parents guilt tripping me for my suicide attempts in order to make me listen to them. I’ve never smoked but I’m addicted to false realities. It’s funny that I hate the world we live in so much that I pretend to leave it. I pretend that I’m a character from an anime or show. It makes it almost painful that cosplay is the only coping mechanism I have in my abusive household. A couple hours ago, I was scavenging through my parents medicine cabinet and found pain reliever pills but I’m trying so hard to keep myself alive, just long enough that I can do one more cosplay, one more artwork, call my friends one more time. So just someone give me one more thing to do

I don't know how old are you, but try to start collecting money so you can move out after you turn 18. Then you don't have to live in your abusive household.

i see this is posted a week ago, I hope youre doing okay, I know my pity won't help you but I am truly sorry and I pray you'll do better, no one deserves a abusive household and though I dont know you I think you certainly don't deserve it, suicide sounds like a valid escape but its not worth it, there's so much beauty in this world to see even though i know it can be hard, you're not alone, I believe you will get out of there and live a happy successful life, you are special, you can do anything. dont give up and hang in there, your happiness will come soon

This song really hits me since my sister and her husband smoke and vape despite knowing what happened to our grandpa (he died of lung cancer because he was a smoker and he couldn’t quit, he tried and was getting pretty close to fully quitting when he died) I don’t judge them Their lives can be really hard and my sister has major anxiety just like me so I understand how it feels I know they smoke to calm down and stuff and that it’s an addiction They recognize that it’s bad for them and they are addicted to it But they won’t try to stop and I don’t think they know how much it hurts me to see my big sister go out to smoke or take a hit on the vape right in front of me Our aunt had to go on a ventilator because she smoked so much She got better thank god And she’s quitting now It just upsets me that my big sister can’t see that her smoking isn’t just hurting her but it hurts me too emotionally at least It may not have any bad effects at the moment but at 40 when she can barely breath she’s really gonna wish she had listened to us

I'm glad that dad quit smoking for me, i heard that my dad used to be such a heavy smoker, smoked like 2 to 3 packs a day. But when i was born, my dad quit smoking completely, until now, i've never seen him touch a cigarette, not even one.
