Well… that’s like saying being able to strum open is being able to play guitar. Sure I guess you’re technically playing it, but at such a basic level that it doesn’t really count. You’re also missing out on learning all the boring but important stuff about what you’re actually playing and why, which is how you actually learn. Which I guess illuminates that this isn’t so much as learning but memorizing. Sure you can memorize this, but unless you actually learn you’ll never be able to apply the skill outside of these very limited and simple confines.
@Mr.Alfredos9 ай бұрын
Is it simple? Yes. Does it require practice and muscle memory to some degree to perform? Yes. Can this be used outside of this specific order of notes to learn from it? Yes. Then is it piano skills even if it is simple? Yes. (According to me that also plays piano)

I have one of those electric pianos that has a setting where you can pick any one of around 100 songs, and no matter what key you hit it plays the correct note. @@SingleAsaPringle28As a mediocre pianist, I’d say: 1. Get started with some nursery songs, they’re often easy and quick to learn. If you’re learning things quick, it gives motivation to try more:) 2. Press the pedal basically ALWAYS, it hides almost all sloppy playing from a casual listener. Only lift it very shortly once it starts to sound jumbled. (Or in the case of this video, lift it very shortly when you switch hand positions) 3. Just try stuff out and have fun! Smashing notes, playing over a track, figuring out the notes for your favourite pop songs… Whatever you want! The most important things (in my opinion) are the enjoyment in playing and the feeling of accomplishment when you learn a song.
@SingleAsaPringle289 ай бұрын
Tysm!! this helps a ton :)
@aBachwardsfellow9 ай бұрын
@@SingleAsaPringle28 You can also use the same pattern starting on two other notes she didn't mention - C gives you C major, E gves you E minor. You can play a lot of music with just those six chords. Hint -- it will probably be easier to play the right hand if you use your ring finger for the top note instead of the middle finger. For another version, start with your right hand thumb on the *next* same note as the left hand (skip 6 keys), then skip 1 key and play with your pointer finger, then skip 1 key and play with your ring finger Have fun!
