Handbrake used to convert some HEVC files that wouldn't open in DaVinci Resolve.

Have to agree with you!! When we play we miss out on the great visuals that the game has! It's only when we watch these videos that we really appreciate how good the game looks if we have an above average graphics cards. And the new camera system really does justice to the game!! Nice video!

Great vid but you missed the true gem of that star system. Twin gas giants orbiting so close to each other they almost touch. You can get incredible double eclipses.

Wow! Just wow! This captures the feeling of Elite so good! Love it! Music is pretty neat too! Good pacing, very beautiful shots (haven't visited Alcor myself (yet!)), and the first thing that jumped to mind when I saw the first shot was: "Wait, is this still Elite: Dangerous or is it Live Action footage or composited somehow?" Very well put together, especially knowing you scored it too (jazz music major here). My only constructive criticism is to add some story into it. Doesn't necessarily need voice narration, although that could be cool, but even without that show me what's happening here. Is this guy an explorer? Tooling around? Trader? Miner? Bounty Hunter? Pirate? If you haven't seen Vindicator Jones' channel have a look, he's great with that. Being clear this is NOT a complaint as what you created really is fantastic, just ideas for the future...

Many thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. Not sure I'll do anything story related as I prefer doing more ambient pieces like this. The main reason I play Elite is because of the atmosphere it provides and the stunning vistas you can stumble upon. Not saying I'll never try something like Vindicator Jones does (which is really excellent stuff) but a) it would take a lot more time and this already took much longer to do than i thought it would and b) I don't think I'd be very good at it :) All the best.

How did you control the depth-of-field? Is that built into the camera suite controls?

Yes, you can control focus, zoom and depth of field with the new camera suite.
