With a size 4 distributor with 5 small hardpoints and 1 medium. A python killer me thinks not.

@@wiser3754 it'll be able to mount a universal limpet controller, which will be fantastic for Titan mining. You need I think a medium hardpoint for extraction missiles and then ideally a thermal vent laser is a good idea, size irrelevant. This may also turn out to be the new meta for robigo runs and rackham's peak , we will see. Python is a good all-around ship, this will likely be limited strictly to trading and specific uses

It's just a excuse to avoid having to put in the effort to make something like that work. Especially on a outdated system like E:D. Space legs was such a fiasco that it litterly ended console support.

That's literally the only reason I play Star Citizen over Elite: Dangerous. Being a person at all times instead of a ship/vehicle/person depending on the situation is so great I can't see myself going back.

It looks awful. Let me explain. It's a cargo freighter, it's should be practical, so it should look like more or less a brick. These extensions on the front are non sense, they're ABSOLUTELY NOT logical, they have NO structural meaning, they offer an augmented surface for being hit by pirates' shooting, they obstruct the line of sight of view, and it'll be a nightmare to load cargo in it if it exists. Sorry, but these front extensions are pure non sense. Before designing a ship you find cool, you should think as a real designer, and he would never imagine such a ship. Not like that at all. Sorry, I'm very disappointed 😥 👎

I guess their other projects are going quite badly if they feel the need to milk their E:D audience even more. How about some actual game content instead of having folks pay money simply to beta test a new ship. Also dont be downplaying ship interiors like that. Just admit that sort of work would be way to much effort for the few developers you have left milking the game.

Not a damn thing. FDEV has given up the ghost on that front. Star Citizen, or even Starfield, graphics are not coming to Elite. However, that's not to say there's not an Elite II in the works we don't know about, so maybe one day! :)

It probably will be ARX on August and With credits later. On August we get the Python Mk2 for credits, so this one will probably follow the same path.

They once received a response from players in the issue feedback, promising to fix the bug that anti-aliasing didn't work, but later they found that they couldn't solve it, so they said the problem had been solved and closed the feedback log.

I like it that it is no combat ships. I wouldnt like this game become Star Trek Online, where every ship is combat focused nowadays. I see me using this ships for evac missions or as miner.

It's disappointing. I'm going to try a class 2 beam and have the rest be seeker missiles as their damage isn't affected by weapon class. Not expecting to hunt any big game with this, but if the type 8 doesn't handle well in interdictions at least it'll be able to fight off small-medium ships.

@@raygaming5899 it's a freighter, therefore when you design a freighter, the most important thing is the efficiency of the cargo rack, isn't it? So, the brick is the form-factor to optimise the cargo load. Moreover, less surface, less targets for pirates to shoot at... Safety first. And finally, a huge cockpit window allows the pilot to see the threat coming. With these extensions blocking the view, a lot of blind spots. Non sense, as I said...

Unfortuntely it litterally wont run on a console, they didnt just drop consoles for fun, they couldnt optomise it to run on a console. It still struggles on mid tier PCs for on foot stuff. I do feel your pain though

I was so excited for this ship when I first saw it,I think the type 8 looks way better than the new python. Then they had to suck all the cool outta the ship with the underwhelming hard points. I was never expecting multiple large hard points,well maybe 1 large with 2 or 3 medium to make competitive. At least they’re adding new ships though.

They're still trying to make money off their dead horse. ED was once a great game but seems like they're behind the times. If only fdev would actually listen to their player base, this game could easily continue for another 10 years. Instead, we get to watch this dumpster fire continue to burn. Bring us ship interiors, base building, story missions, unique points of interests, uses for the fleet carrier, and cut the grind. Seems like all we get are paid early access ships and angry flowers.
