I would love something smaller than a fleet carrier but something that can carry like 2 or 3 of your ships so you can just head out into the black but have a bit more of a mobile home to get around on. Really have fun exploring with more independence but able to tackle anything that may come up with a few ship options.

That would immediately get the game banned or rated 18+ in many countries around the world - same with serving booze in the bars. Not the best way to build a bigger playerbase.

We don't need gambling or simulation thereof, but every good Sci-Fi does have bar fights of some sort or another. We need bar-fights mechanics! (Including a reason for them and consequences)

Elite is already a niche game with an adult target audience. Who cares about PG's, when 95 percent of the community is already over 18? Who cares about it anyway?, (hello gta 5 and rdr 2 and literally any game) @@Sighman

I really hope there will be more squadron related things. I want to be able to have more clear ways I can play together with my friends. I also would love them to add some crafting related things where we could do more interesting things on the commerce side. And finally a revamp to exploration, like maybe a reason to take weapons out? Or to have directives to scan rare phenomena for research.

Something for explorers please. The ability to show biological sources without having to get back into orbit. A smaller version of the fleet carrier so we can take a few ships or a set of modules so we can perform various roles once out in the black - Fleet Carriers are just too expensive to maintain and total overkill. There are lots of zap games out there but Elite is pretty-well the only game for us explorers.

I would kill for a mini fleet carrier... they could call it a Support Carrier, maybe? Half the storage, similar or slightly reduced jump range (i think 400ly would be a safe compromise), and only basic modules available would be fantastic

I would like to see the ability to leave cargo in stored ships and station storage for cargo. If I am collecting ingredients for unlocking weapons/modules/engineers or have limpets loaded and want to switch to a combat ship with no cargo I should not have to get rid of my stuff first. Seems like it such a simple ask.. LOL

Here's my wish list.... 1: EVA imagine doing outside repairs with a hand tool in in deep space, doing the job of the AFMU by hand... or exploring wrecked ships in space. 2: Ship interiors, even if they are simple would be a game changer. 3: AI crew. A copilot like that of the APEX shuttles and just having some walking around your anaconda. 4: Ship radio chatter, like that in ED copilot. 5. Landable earthlikes... These few things would be game changers for me.

The Panther Clipper to transport large cargo to build those settlements makes sense. Also the expansion of areas inside a Fleet Carrier, they could monetize it.. if you pay for it you get those areas opened. People would pay for it!

Hiya Ricardo, and thanks for another awesome video =] As you're already familiar, I'd love to see ship interiors come in 2025 (or to be honest at any point) and I think a number of your on-foot suggested and/or garrisoned quarters suggestions would apply equally _to_ the ship interiors model. Why limit a player to having a room on a station (which I do like as an idea by the way), when they could have that room on their ship, thereby taking it with them pretty much wherever they go ? The same arguments regarding break-ins and damage and so on would apply to ship interiors. For example, you take off from a space station, and receive an interior alarm after your first jump that says there's a stowaway on board. They must have hopped on-board the ship when you were transferring cargo at the station you just left, dammit ! You have to gear-up and go through the ship to find them, apprehend them, and confine them until you arrive at a star port where you can turn them over to the authorities. This could also lead to repair play, where a ship's systems can have been damaged either through combat, sabotage, wear and tear etc., and you have to manipulate systems not just from the cockpit but also from other parts of the ship (perhaps you have to visit the ship's engineering section to check temperatures; repair damaged components; etc.). Similarly you could be boarded, perhaps via hatch-breaker limpets or similar, leading to on-ship combat. You might find somebody's placed a *bomb* on cargo in your ship and you have to find it - the possibilities for gameplay loops and options are extensive, not to mention the opportunities for FDev to monetise the experience via microtransactions in the store. Decking out the lighting, carpeting, door trim, captain's quarters chair, frames for the walls to reflect upon the artwork and trophies, all of this could be made available in the shop for ARX points, thereby contributing to the ongoing revenue the game produces for FDev. Putting the cork back in that bottle for a sec, I think it would be awesome to keep bringing more ships into Elite Dangerous - in Frontier: Elite II for example, you had ships including the Boa, Constrictor, Gecko, Hawk, Interplanetary Shuttle, Kestrel, Lifter, Lion, Lynx, Moray Starboat, Osprey, *Panther Clipper* as everybody knows, Puma Clipper and Tiger Trader, so plenty of options they could look to bring back should they wish to =] I'm excited for player-led colonisation, and *labour*-wise I think it's a smart move as it puts a powerful set of tools into the players' hands which in turn enables Frontier (once it's up and running) to take a bit more of a back seat from that and, in turn, focus on other in-game items (whilst the players build into the galaxy off their own bat). Here's hoping that 2024 wasn't just a blip, and that FDev can (and do) continue the momentum along this track in 2025. I think the Frontier Unlocked live streams are a great way of keeping everybody focused and the player base engaged, and I'll 100% be keeping up with your content throughout the year as well, so thanks again for scratching that itch =D

Would love to get the Panther Clipper or some other large cargo ship, native to SCO. For ship interiors, I would be happy if they added "cockpit interiors", just allows us to get up our seat and stroll a bit in our cockpit if we want, ideally would allows us to get out our ship and do repair to the exterior hull. I think it would be a nice middle ground.

I would love to fly into a station that was built for community housing looking down and seeing A large football, soccer or baseball field. I'm sure they'll still be playing those games in 3306

In the book "The Dark Wheel," they mention 2 ships that aren't in the game. The Moray is a ship designed for both outerspace and underwater. I'd love to see landable (diveable??) Water words. Deep sea mining/oil rig style bases. Aquatic exo-biology, diving suits, maybe some water world specific trade goods. On foot (would we still call it 'on foot' if it involved swimming?) missions that require sealing up leaks or pressurising flooded bases. I also love the idea of a player home. Really drive that home station/system feeling. However, if they do that, I feel there should also be the choice to have a ship as a home or an "apartment" style room on fleet carriers.

If they were going to add ship interiors, there's one good way to do it: only permit access to the interior during safe, non-conflict station dockings. If there is a possibility that the players ship could take damage somehow, ship interiors would be disabled, and return to the current "fade to black and suddenly, in the command seat" style.

@@Dezibahn this is close to what I suggested a few months back, which is adding interiors only for non-moving ships. This could actually be done fairly easily or at least easier than having the ability to walk around the ship that is moving that involves a lot more programming and calculations and potential for bugs like we see in star citizen, however, allowing people to walk in a stationary ship, removes a lot of those potential problems and with probably address most of the desires that people have. Incidentally, walking around the stationary ship is exactly what you do in Starfield.

I want a storyline for an exobiology eccentric factions. With main quests and sidequests and errands and cauldrons and rebel settlements and collectables. Maybe not cauldrons. But a storyline lead by cool headed, fleet carrier owning protagonists who transport commanders on an intragalactic trail that tracks to the Thargoid home world. And maybe uncover earth shattering answers to why those seed pods are attracted to humanity. Give me flowing game play that curates cohesion in this big sandbox. Give me and some of the thousands of other look-e-loos reason to join the ranks.

I wish Frontier is considering that point seriously, although some changes in the graphic engine will be needed I'm afraid, so I'm not sure if we will ever see that feature. I do think that the colonization update is a sign that the developers are moving toward player property just as a form of "how do we even log who owns what" in a game that really wasnt built for that kind of system. But if we do get living quarters of some kind i think we also need a reason to not be constantly doing missions and just relax.

Apart from the usual like better planets, interiors, more ships, more to do with ships, I’d like to see them figure out how to encourage more players into open. I want to bump into others and for them to see the work I’ve put into my ship. But bankers put me off. So the penalty for turning murderer needs to be more severe.

The way this game is designed ship interiors would be almost exactly like Starfield. You load in the ship "interior" then once you sit down at the pilots seat it would be another loading screen. Now the only way I think the players would like that feature rather than complaining about the loading is if it had 2 options when boarding. And the interior would serve some type of function. The interiors would probably be small. I dont see us walking the entirety of the anaconda like it's the 890j from star citizen. The function side of it would be i belive dependent on what modules you have Exo biology labs for "transfering" exo biology so you don't loose it if your ship explodes, I could see mining ships equipped with a refinery could further refine a material to increase chances of getting more at the cost of damaging the refinery thats not fixable, things like that I could see them adding but not complete interiors like star citizen.

My wishlist would be an complete overhaul to stellar forge, opening up atmospherics, earthlikes etc. Compared to other open world space games Elite now looks well behind when it comes to planetary generation. We need some new terrain and locations to play in. New missions/ overhaul of the mission board. They need to do better than generic A-B text quests. We do not even have a single escort mission in this entire game. Just give me something more entertaining to do that wait for my bounty target to fly right in front of me for interdiction. Ship interiors/ EVA missions, more indoor locations with actually something to do.

You already mentioned a good deal of what I'd like to see. Immersion might be helped by some silly little gizmos that don't actually do much, but allow to let the player feel they can interact with their surroundings in many ways and not exclusively purposeful endeavours. Right now, the game feels a little sterile for the lack of a few more or less useless but fun thingies.

The atmospheric planets should be doable. Let's be honest - fog, or dust should be easily handled by the engine. They could basically expand the current barren worlds - and push the atmospheres more. Add fog, dust, more erosion-based terrain, clouds and basic weather system with snow and rain. They don't have to add cities, earth-like planets yet.

I doubt interiors will ever make it into the game, despite Braben's 2012 Kickstarter claims that they're taking them into account. There's nothing indicating that that's actually true. It would be a nightmare to retroactively redesign all ships to accomodate interiors and optimise the game engine to make them performant. Additionally, interiors would need to have some gameplay attached to them, otherwise there would be no point. Based on Frontier's patterns of development over the years, they prioritise features that aren't resource intensive, like in the case of colonization, which looks to be primarily a numbers game that will spawn assets we're already familiar with, with the addition of slapping-on nameplates in the system map. Apartments is a neat idea that would fill a niche without being a strain on Frontier's resources and would sidestep the issues of implementing ship interiors and base building by making people happy, at least for some time.

You showed: there are lots and lots of loose ends to spin new threads for the game. Enough for the next 10 years, IMHO. Other loose ends: Guardian Sentinels and the strange recordings from old generation ships. Both could lead to a major new story ark.

On foot VR and integrated ship interiors are both Very Big Asks. Now customizable carrier interiors would not be quite so big. Consoles? Yeah, when they put 4090s and Rysen 5800s in em. Not before. Ten pounds O guff. 3 pound sack. Return of the Goids? Count on it. Goid War brought in Old and New players.

I don't think it's possible to add atmo planets on this game engine, especially since people who designed this system are long gone from the company. I'm pretty sure current FDev employes have pretty vague idea how it all works. That doesn't exclude HAND-MADE atmo planets tho'. Every such planet could be sold as separate DLC. This could be a great cash source for FDev - and wouldn't be necessary to create whole generation system of such planets, galaxy wouldn't need to be re-rolled (we all know how it ended up with Odyssey), devs could add stuff that could work on current engine and omit stuff that can't - for example cities, dinosaurs or other stuff like this. Other than that - they REALLY need to fix and polish what they already got. The game is STILL not optimised, for Christ's sake. AA still doesn't work. VR is still a mess. Etc.

I'm not going any further, and my friends feel the same; especially about the lack of walking onto and within our ships. We’re done unless there’s a stronger update, even if it means paying for it (and I say that for myself). The game feels clunky and outdated, and it desperately needs a meaningful refresh. The old illusions just don’t hold up anymore. We’ve all floated next to massive structures, marveling at their scale, only to realize we can only interact with 0.01% of them. Large stations with countless windows and buildings are just lifeless backdrops. It's time for new illusions; ones that immerse us in the vastness and promise of the galaxy, not just its surface gloss. I have deleted it off my hard drive till something happens the colonizing will be a new illusion of a waste of time... But, that said I will do my best to continue to like and give a peek in on Ricardos Gaming, who can get away from that.

The ability to transfer your ships from A to B irrespective of your location would be welcomed, instead of having to visit point B and initiate from there. It may also help in general with the fleet carrier jump wait times if you can simply send your, say, combat ship(s) to point B and then travel there in your "taxi" instead of having to jump your carrier. We now have the elaborately adorned concourses for PP systems, but other than visiting Vista, Pioneer, bartender etc., PP commanders do not really have a reason to visit the concourse to appreciate, so on-foot board missions available from systems your Power controls for merit-only rewards (e.g. settlement raids in another Power's systems/eliminate scavs from your own Power's systems).would certainly be appreciated. Also, fix the bloody fleet carrier Odyssey material to/from transfers and the bartender purchases/sales - this has been screwed for 2 months now.

I can almost guarantee you that if ship interiors were added 1) module for almost every ship will need to be completely redesigned since, let's be honest, they break physics 2) more players will be driven to play in Solo because nobody wants to deal with gankers as it is NOW, and even less so if you can be boarded. I have zero interest, personally, in ship interiors, just like I have no interest in the on-foot aspects or station interiors. Speaking of that, seriously, who is spending any time hanging around inside a station? I can count on one hand the number of times I even end up in the same instance with my squadron mates in a given year.

I have been saying something like this for years... Interiors is completely pointless in ships in ED. You would have to completely redo the game, and for what? Sure, its immersion but nothing else really. Just take a look at SC, a game that was built from the beginning for interiors. They are just basically there and little else. The big add on? You're going to have to either get somebody to sit there with a fuse of at some point having to jump out of the pilots seat and change the fuse yourself. Interiors will just do nothing or kill solo play just like SC. The fact remains though anytime wasted on interiors would be much better spent redoing on foot combat and polish. Which is the other point. If ED has proven anything its that even if they did interiors they would just sit there with no real function in the game and be forgotten about for 4 years... If they ever make another Elite, which is what Odyessy should have been, sure take a crack at it. But, shoe horning basically useless concepts into a 10 year old game is just a waste of time... Between stations, surface colonies and fleet carriers there is enough on foot stuff to use if you want too. After playing SC for a couple of years I can say with zero doubt whatsoever that ED will always be the better space "sim", and a huge part of that is a lot of the gameplay is streamlined. Cutting out the fat and condensing down "complex" actions to a panel interaction. It makes the game better, no need to take a space dookie or sleep in a space bed😂

If we got interiors it would most likely be a walkable cockpit. Then all the complainers wouldn't stop going on about the game lacking 'proper' ship interiors. I don't get it, personally. If they want ship interiors, why don't these players pledge to Star Citizen, go to a ship event and walk around all the vessels until they're sick of it?

I tried this game again...just more complicated, buggy and annoying when you start from nothing...then when you get a foot hold your docking computer smashes you into the station or someone gets offened when you take 2 seconds too long trying to land and instead of a 1000 cred fine you get 'seawitched' into a smouldering corpse. I'm out not wasting life on this.

Hmmm...if those devilish Devs of the Elite Universe are reading this: an Lengthened version of the Mandalay would be nice, as would more species to discover for the Xenobiologists here. But, most importantly...the bottom line for Frontier: Perhaps add on graphics such as ship interiors and such. Different vocalized advertisements at that space stations with thinly disguised sponsor products from today in the future. The list goes on. Now, howzabout those "Constructs". 🤔🤨🥸
