ELITE DANGEROUS THEORY : Thetis and Delta 69

In this episode i will be investigating possible connections that the Thetis Generation ship and Communication Array Delta 69 has to the larger story. I will elaborate on my thoughts on these sites and the possible connections they may have to the Oisir Raxxla, guardian exiles,Thargoids or the sirens of the deepest void in the Toast of the Dark Wheel.

The Oisir-Raxxla have the ability to transmit their minds into robots, and also influence and _become_ machines. Their methods and true goals have become very subtle over the millenniums.

Possible the guardian ai? Deciding to set the course for life in the Galaxy after they killed the guardians themselves who they judged unworthy after their rapid technological advances before developing their social structure.

I found some likely systems within 15 Ly of Nefertem towards Sol, I found nothing... but a lot of ice worlds we will likely be able to explore in Odyssey.

I wonder if though, since the Thargoids have been in space for millions of years, whether they have also had run ins with whatever these entities... errr things are, maybe they've also had Thetis incidents. They could be akin to the Unknown Aggressors in The Expanse, interdimensional beings, irate with lower beings such as Humans, Guardians and even Thargoids intruding upon their realm.

Given I have heard of the same sort of madness experienced being linked to Witchspace, I almost feel like there's a rift, or a tear or white hole hemmoraging/ being generated somewhere near. I don't think it's done by the Thargoids, but I do believe the Thargoids know if it, or exist within or alongside it. It could even be a gateway, or the effects of being near a gateway so powerful.

Nothing. Most probably nothing as well until the update is full release. I think they could be adding the Hesperus as some kind of demo, showcasing boarding ships like these with FPS. Elements. That is just my thoughts on it anyway.

I mentioned this in another video, but is there a way to calculate the amount of stellar drift that has taken place since this ship was discovered? If we're trying to find the origin of the signal, we may need to figure out the stars and worlds that could have been along the way during it's voyage. Main problem is knowing when it went missing, and when she launched, or exploring the interior when space legs become active

ED likes to hide everything I mean can show off a little :) Im sure majority of player base doesn't knows this exist... esp for us newer players that wern't around during the hype of discovering generation ships. Just feel like in odyssey they gotta really step it up. I hope they work more on improving everything then adding more features... let space legs add to the game not be a seperate entity

I fully agree with you. Only been playing just over a year now. Adding mission chains were at the end you would get some kind of bonus material you need to engineer some special weapon or module. May be they will go over all this stuff and reintergrate it into mission chains. At least I hope the new stuff has things to do in it that are handy to solo or new players.i don't think they should fully get rid of the secret stuff though, just add more mission chains with NPCs and stuff to pew pew at these places.

This mystery has me so intrigued, i wanna look into it more but its been what, 3-4 years since it was first discovered? No one has seemed to make any ground on it and it makes me wonder if FDev put any more clues in the game. I think it's a pretty good guess to say the ship didn't travel in a straight line from Sol, or it had it's course altered somehow. This might be a silly question but was Neferem the ship's destination? What if ship was headed in a completely different direction and soon after the epidemic started it had a course change. Once the whole crew was gone it was left alone to drift and eventually ended up in Neferem?

I think it was Nefertem that the Thetis received the signal from. Unknown as to its original destination but i don't think Nefertem was it.

@@MATTIUS hmm interesting. After some thought, the system that was 15ly away may not be in reference to nefertem at all. They could have been say, 30 ly away from Nefertem when they made the recordings. So the system might be much further away from where the ship ended up.

@@MATTIUS Elite Dangerous is a mix of "feelings" about certain topics like Battlestar G and Space O. The crop circle in the UK even is thrown in as a part of the Dark Wheel logo. So it is almost impossible to find clews, but they must be out there. Dark Wheel were all interested in profit, kinda pirate-ish right? I have to organize my stuff here, but I know there is a Pirate nebula or something in the game. Also, something worth looking for, if I find the correct name again I will post it here.

I don’t think the announcement of the birth of a child on the generation ship was a coincidence. I’m going to put on an extra layer of tinfoil and assume that when they had passed that signal 16 light years back, they did indeed pick up a stowaway of sorts. At sub light speeds, it’s reasonable to believe that it was 18 to 20 years back. Long enough for one unknowingly possessed individual to make a kid. If we are to assume some sort of parasitic like behavior from this source. There could be another connection here.

MATTIUS It’s definitely _really_ cool and unique. And if it was just a cool Easter egg for those who found it I’d have no issue. My biggest issue aside from the obscurity of a real clue, was that I was playing on Xbox at the time, and stuff like this kept happening where it was nearly impossible for someone on console to do the things people on pc could like recording the audio to run through a spectrograph. And not that there’s people on PS4 it just excludes even more people. And it’s one of those things where a handful of people get to do something in game and everyone else just learns about it on KZbin rather than in the game itself. I believe Elite shouldnt *require* out of game resources but it literally does. But I know not everyone shares that view.

Yeah you have a point. I guess being a PC owner since the days of amiga I never really think about how accessable these types of things are to those who don't have access to a pc. I guess if they included apps, available on the xbox app store or ps4 store that would help but it kind of kills the surprise of finding hidden audio signals if you already know what your looking for.

It’s that it’s so far removed from anything someone playing on a console would/could do natively that the only way they would know to do it would be if they already knew it existed. Which also means they also know what it is and the only reason to do it would be for the hell of it. Not to actually discover anything new or for yourself. Sooo you’re completely missing the point of the post.
