In my case, the motor was stuck in high resistance. Great noise. I just had to help the motor move backwards with my hand (gently), then I cleaned it and do this three or four times until there was no noise. Then I just puted a little bit of grease and now is working nicely. Thank you very much Stanislav !

I think I might have the same issue where the motor is stuck in high resistance. I am getting a nasty loud jackhammer-like noise and the motor will not move from high resistance. However, I am not able to help the motor backwards with my hand as you said you did. How did you do this exactly? Did you bring the resistance down in the app and gently pull the magnet cart to the left while the motor was trying to move? Thank you in advance!
@josepsancort12 күн бұрын
@@seanzoschke First of all, I cleaned the axis, and took away all the old grease (the old grease was dry and that's why the motor was stuck), then I just put a little grease (maybe with vaseline oil would work). Then I brought the resistance down in the app. I turned off the Direto, and then on. Last, I gently pulled the magnet cart three times (turn of and on the Direto every time) to the left while the motor was trying to move until it was totally in the left (resistance 1).

@@josepsancort1 Huge thanks for the quick reply! I followed your notes, and although I could not really get the magnet cart moving with my hands, the gentle pulling combined with applying grease on the axis threads right against the magnet card (to get the grease penetrating to the stuck area) seemed to loosen it up slightly. Then after turning the trainer on and off a few times without touching the magnet cart, it slowly started to move more and more on its own until it finally broke free. It seems to work like new now. Thank you so much, I was losing hope and your info was a game changer. Also thanks Stanislav for the great video and information in the comments, it is incredibly useful!

I only removed the small cover. I see that much more of the thread is exposed when the cover over the flywheel is removed. I am having quite the loud 'buzzing' sound at levels 11-16 when I use the app. By the sounds of it, you had a similar issue? @3:49 that is as far back as my motor retracts. How did you get yours all the way back to the point at @4:05 with all the threads showing? And how did you get your motor moving forwards and back without pedaling? Thank you for your help

The motor makes a humming sound when it has trouble turning. A motor that adjusts the load by moving it using the myETraining application, without pedaling. I show it at the beginning of the video. Also, if it gets stuck in a certain position, the motor tries to park itself in the starting position after turning it off and then plugging it back into the mains.

@@stanislavpjatak the fix was to replace the motherboard. I believe, no I am certain, that the motherboard had a design fault. The only difference between the original (faulty) motherboard was a new capacitor. It makes sense that the old capacitor was not strong enough to give enough power to the stepper motor. And should this be the case the factory should replace it as a "Service recall" and not get the users (who ran out of warranty) to pay for the replacement. 90 Euro for the motherboard plus shipping. If you read all the forums the first thing that the support service person does is to send a new board and then they suggest to clean AND lubricate the screw shaft. Vary poor on their behalf.
