Players tune down to better match the singers voice
@elielmontesdeoca12063 жыл бұрын
We tone down for bigger tones its called drop D but not for the singers voice
@danielortiz7473 жыл бұрын
@@elielmontesdeoca1206 no its not, drop D is of of the many alternate tunings. Yeah when you drop down you get a more darker warm sound. But its also for clashing better with the singers voice. If you have a singer that sings low it might be a good idea to tune down so the chords you're playing have a darker sound and plays perfectly with the vocals. Its mostly used in metal since the whole tone of the song is dark
@elielmontesdeoca12063 жыл бұрын
@@danielortiz747 in this song it is drop D my dupe:) And clashing with the vocals is bad for the mix its better to stay off the vocal frequencies or youll ruin the mix
@lukebogartmix3 жыл бұрын
@@danielortiz747 Drop D simply just lets you reach a few lower notes, change chord shapes, or slightly alter tonality of your low string. I wouldn't say the drop tuning here was used to help match with a singers voice, that would be an entire key change of the song instead. Funnily enough, E doesn't use any of the extra lower notes he gains, he probably used it for the stiffer sound of fretting an A on the low string instead of playing an open A and/or to keep uniformity in the 2nd bridge riff and make the shape a tad bit simpler/more logical
