LiveView Native 18 Months In: Are We There Yet?

We began working with LiveView Native in early 2023, developing on our real-time financial analysis alerting application to replace our previous technology of SMS messaging to improve deliverability. We had many delays while LVN developed over the summer leading up to ElixirConf 2023. Version 0.2.0 was finally released in January, marking a major milestone refactoring the styling and many other things. By ElixirConf, we’ll have to see where they have gotten to.
This talk will cover our ongoing development journey in using LiveView Native with the release of 0.2.0, and any additional releases leading up to ElixirConf. The talk will include how to get started today (ignore the tutorial, look for the Livebook), and our feel for the stability of the codebase to do app development 18 months in, and what platforms are ready to go. We show several apps we are working on to explore the limits of LVN, and the LVN eco-system (e.g. Maps, etc.). We will also cover what it takes to add additional modules to LVN.
