P5 already has the equivalent of P4 arena in terms of continuity (5 strikers) they either do an enhanced version of strikers or just leave this still as a cliffhanger for a couple of years, unless they give finally a resolution in P6.

Good video, but Elizabeth doesn't really "talk about" Makoto. She's clearly troubled by what happened and is thinking about him/how to free him, but she doesn't bring him up or anything (even vaguely). Maybe alter the title a little bit for better accuracy (just my opinion, at any rate).

Seems like Atlus is aware and still hasn't brushed off to the side what they did with Elizabeth in persona 4 arena, her promise and her journey I kinda hope they will actually expand in Elizabeth's journey with the help of the og S.E.E.S. team members and make a mainline game out of it

Im glad they reference him quite often in reload. Over the last few years i kept getting this nagging feeling that Aigis was essentially replacing him (which was inevitable considering he.... Ya know) but ultimately i dont necessarily think he's being replaced. More like Aigis just continuing his legacy all while carving her own path.

Probably not the best place to be asking this but… what was the point of that plot thread in P4 arena where Elizabeth wants to save Makoto-kun from being the great seal? If the idea is that he’s gone forever (because in real life when people die, they’re gone for good. That’s basically the main message of Persona 3, right? Learning to accept death?), why is that subplot even there in the first place, especially if Atlus doesn’t seem interested in giving it any form of conclusion? Update: In case I confused anyone, I’m not asking why Elizabeth has set out to do what it is she wants to do, but rather why Atlus has created that subplot in the first place. Because it’s been a decade now and they seem to have no intention of giving it any form of conclusion. I kind of feel like they should’ve never mentioned anything about Elizabeth trying to free Makoto-kun to begin with if they weren’t interested in giving that story thread some kind of resolution.

I think she wants to find a way to let his soul rest in peace. Spoilers ahead So, after fighting Nyx, his soul became the great seal, which makes it impossible for him to go to the afterlife (if there is one) or to rest in peace, as he'll remain as the great seal forever. Elizabeth wants to find a way to get rid of Nyx so his soul can finally rest in peace. His body was buried a while ago, so he can't revive

I mean he’s already dead, but his soul can’t pass onto the next life as it’s currently stuck keeping the seal active, so regardless of whether Elizabeth succeeds or not he would always remain dead, at best he could reincarnate if their even is such a thing in the persona universe, or maybe an afterlife who knows for sure, what we do know is that makoto soul is currently stuck trying to keep the seal active, Elizabeth’s goal is to free his soul so that he makes it onto the next life whether that be reincarnation or an afterlife etc. his real body however has long since been buried and he’s already clinically declared dead even if they couldn’t find a cause for it.

I still dont really get what the point of this remake was if they wouldnt throw a bone and give players two endings for The Answer/Episode Aigis. One that follows the end of The Answer and a new ending that shows SEES saving Makoto or freeing his soul. Having a second possible ending could've made up for the fact that Persona 3's identify, aesthetic and gameplay mechanics unique to the original Persona 3 were sacrificed in Reload.
