There's a changing of eras going on here, and the strong and determined challenger is the unabashed, radiant, and trendsetter KOKOREVA. Her motto as I see it is: "ANYTHING YOU CAN DO I CAN DO BETTER." I love that in your face, Ballerina attitude. She's going to do it HER way, and if you don't like it... too bad. Through her excitement and pleasure of her dancing, every step has a message. Those side sissones are jaw-dropping beautiful. Her commanding tempo rhythm is accelerated with intent and purpose... "This is MINE.." Same with her Gamzatti coda. She highlights delicious add-ons to the choreography, and her stage presence is a gift from God. The most beautiful ballerina on planet Earth, YULIA STEPANOVA, is in the process of regaining her Prima Ballerina Assoluta dancing. I'm sure she was thrilled closing the fouettés with that gorgeous passé placed perfectly triple 👌. La KRYSANOVA is the winner here, displaying all the intricate details and variety on the music playing with tempos the Assoluta way. Her great experience as a Golden Bolshoi Ballet star is present at all times. La KOKOREVA is the new sheriff in town...

Kokoreva is stunning in the pas with her big jumps and distance traveled , also in the first variation. In the pas she looks like she is floating through the air, I think the height different also adds to the effect. Great video! I enjoyed all three.

Each ballerina signs these variations with their own brilliance and personality. I loved them all. Particularly wonderful moments are Kokoreva's explosive grand jetés (sissonnes?) followed by chaînés in the first variation, Stepanova's flowing, classical elegance, plus Krysanova's spectacular turns in attitude devant.

What a lovely compilation, thank you so much! All three are amazing. What more can I say about the queen of Bolshoi Krysanova? Stepanova had the best and most musical manege in the second variation and a suberb finish at her fouettes. Kokoreva needs a special mention though as she totally nailed those difficult grand jetes in the first variation. I have never seen any other ballerina make them beautiful. Her jumps are huge, big split and you hardly notice any effort. You don't even see any shoulder disturbing her form to help her go forward, which is what I generally find annoying about these jumps.

Кокорева, особенно в 1-й вариации абсолютно вне конкуренции. Отличная техника, лёгкость исполнения и главное - харизма! Степанова тяжело смотрится, не её роль. Крисанова - неплохо.

Hard to pick a favorite among the three, though I might favor Kokoreva slightly, very slightly. Let's put it this way, If I were watching this ballet with any one of the three, I would be among the first to be on my feet, applauding and shouting bravo. EDIT. Me gustan las 3. Hoy lo digo en español. Elizabeta es un fenómeno: todo giros, a la segunda sube en grand battement, todas por développé, ella por grand battement. Yulia Stepanova a mí , personalmente, me encanta, me gusta mucho, es preciosa, lo hace todo; gira, salta, tiene brazos bonitos y es muy guapa. Y Krysanova es perfecta girando y tiene muchas tablas, le da mucha personalidad a su baile. A las 3 les doy un 10. Muchas gracias por el vídeo. Una cuarta bailarina perfecta en la variación del tercer acto es la Zakharova; está preciosa, clava la variación, me encanta cuando sube la cabeza y mira al público, está divina. Saludos 😍

My coach/teacher Yelena Ryabinkina told me that I had to do everything equally excellent to both sides (I’m a natural lefty). She worked me and I’m so grateful because I’m a rare even ballerina. She said to be patient because I’d be praised for the rarer left side moments. Elizaveta is clearly the best because her jumps en manège with the left leg leading are glorious! I live for those moments. Her extensions are balanced… she could probably do her fouettés to the left like me too! Brava! 🇵🇹🇧🇷🇺🇦🇷🇺🇷🇴🩰👏🏻 7:46

All three were amazing, of course, in this amazing, but very difficult ballet, but I think Elizaveta Kokoreva was the best - and the tempo was considerably faster for her. Yulia and Ekaterina are more secure in their artistry and expression, which is expected from more experienced dancers. I guess it's about the newer, younger competition always emerging from the wings about which principals are always keenly aware.

Che balletto stupefacente, difficile trovare insieme ritmo, fluidità, tempismo e precisione. Nelle opere brillanti la Kokoreva non si risparmia, la Stepanova capisce l importanza di equilibrio tra braccia e testa più delle gambe, se possibile, e anche la Krisanova bada più che altro all equilibrio musicale.

Kokoreva really gets this style of ballet. Stepanova needs to use her core a lot more, the lack of which makes her seem earthbound. Krysanova is going through all the motions correctly but not understanding that in this style of dance one needs to hit your best pose right on the beat of the music. Being hyper lyrical and flowing through everything came later.

Этот балет и хореографию Лакотта не каждая прима может танцевать. В данном случае надо сравнивать с танцем Образцовой. А Вазиев, ломая карьеру балерин ставит всех подряд на эту очень техничную роль. Поэтому подчас жудко смотреть в зале, как балерина не успевает за музыкой, и не умеет делать половину движений. И это за нынешние 25-30 тыс. за билет.

Ни одна не впечатлила, увы. Нет восторга. Облегченная версия вариации Аспиччии - ну смотреть очень скучно, и с каждой новой примой становится всё хуже и хуже исполнено. Жаль, что это теперь норма и нынешний слабый уровень подготовки прим Большого театра.
