Appreciate the in depth review and comparisons! I was looking to buy the OP buds pro 2, but I found the Samsung buds 2 on sale for about 70USD so I had to go give those a shot first. I'll probably wait for good sales before picking up these OnePlus buds, 175usd is a little more than I'm willing to spend on TWS, especially as the under 100USD market has a lot of compelling options on offer.

@@adityabhujbal6891 I don't usually go above 100USD, the only one in that price range I've tried is the Edifier Neobuds pro. Pretty decent ANC and TM, comfort is good if you are okay with stem type buds. A little too bassy for me though, and the battery performance on LDAC/LDHC is pretty meh. Under 100 USD, My latest purchases are the Edifier w240Tn and the Soundpeats mini pro. Both are fairly comfortable if you have medium sized ears and select the right eartip(both don't have eartips that go deep in your ear canal, just cover the opening). The W240tn has stronger ANC, but is susceptible to wind noise, the mini pro has slightly weaker ANC but is less affected by wind. I like the more neutral tuning of the W240tn tho. There are probably others that will fit your criteria and have better sound quality, but I haven't tried them since I only get buds with gaming modes.

Thanks for the review. I bought the OnePlus and am blown away…clarity, separation, depth are all fantastic. Hearing new things in familiar songs. Volume level is good (loud). Custom profile sound through hearing tests helpful. I have had other S tier buds including soundcore liberty 3 and these really are in another league. Great review EL J and thanks for your work. These are my new gold standard.

To be honest I have the original pros and they have 95% of these features. You might save a lot going for those. But the noise canceling is more to reduce the volume you listen at. It doesn't block out sounds.

@Jerrod Vinson just over the years samsung takin away stuff like the charger the sd card the headphone jack. First note I got was the 2 then the 4 then the 8 had s7 edge in between 4 and 8 with the 7 fiasco then the 9 then the 20u then s22u but it used to be that if ya got the note it had every feature ya could think of on the phone amd best everything. Know most companies are doing that but then thru the years I've also gotten big into Audio stuff like speakers earbuds headphones iems. What I've realized is that just cuz a pair has sony or bose on it Def doesn't mean it will sound the best or have best overall features . Love for audio stuff started it 2019 with the Sony xm3 earbuds took em back then the bose soundsports free took em back then the Jabra 75t took em back.. for prices i paid i was not satisfied with their sound or featurez.. all those were 179 to 229 at the time and after texting my brother saying im Done with these pos spendy earbuds he sent me link to flossy carter review on the soundcore liberty 2 pro at that time they were on sale for 109 and man they absolutely blew me away now I've owned every pair since then along with brands like earfun soundpeats and edifier it made me realize there's some badass brands Makin products that are better or as good for a lot less money. That's what brings me back to phones now. Since dropping my fully unlocked s22u I outright bought after trading in my note 20u to samsung I dropped that s22u down an icehole while fishin with my son. First time and hopefully last time that happens fml lol but that was 3 Sundays ago and since then to get by I went and bought the Google pixel 6a . Great little phone just not for me. Then went with the a53 5g which I love the screen and sd card but it's Def slowest phone I've used in a while and cameras are not very good but if this a53 was smoother and took a Lil bit better photos I'd be happy with it and had the 6a had a bigger screen I'd a been happy with it but both are good enough that it reminds me of those earbuds other brand are catching up and even big brands with these midrange phones they're still Damm good ...Now watching review after review on the oneplus 11 and reading every review online I feel that phone would be stellar especially when figuring in that oneplus will give me 240 for my a53 vs samsung only Givin me 130 so overall I'd save 500 bucks by Goin with the 11 with 16gb ram and 256gb vs Goin with the 512gb s23u. Now with all that my main uses of phone is to take photos and videos of my kiddos and to listen to music . I never bought the oneplus buds pro but those have gotten killer reviews from everyone and now jefes review here on buds 2 pro takin his top spot under 200 so that's the main reasons I'm tempted to grab the 11 over the s23u and I will add I own the galaxy buds 2 pro and I'd easily take my liberty 4 or liberty 3 pro or edifier w240tn over them for sound quality and features so with all this I'd get the 11 for 560 then 20 percent off the one plus buds 2 pro so could have the 11 and buds 2 pro and still have about 300 in pocket vs just buying the s23u.

You can enable spatial audio on Pixel from Bluetooth settings 13:55 same 14:07 I am sorry for your loss 16:30 I tested these 2 songs on the bass setting with BassWave on and damn this is insane🫨 17:45 absolute GTA radio vibes, not bad 25:00 Samsung is ded in mic quality, and Apple rules followed by Sony and OnePlus 25:59 Apple nailed it. OnePlus struggled with noise

I think the reason why you can use spatial audio is because it's a Google feature that oneplus is using in their OnePlus 11. It makes sense that it would be on the pixel.

Picky user here who has owned. 15+ high-end earbuds, with a strong requirement for good environmental noise canceling mics: These are by far the best earbuds for reducing outside noise for the person on the receiving end. Tested in NYC streets, near construction, trains, large and loud crowds. Zero complaints and the feedback has all been excellent. Sold my Elevocs because it drowned out your voice so much that I always felt like I was screaming when talking (plus terrible for music).

Awesome review. Call quality test like this is what every reviewer should consider while reviewing earbuds. Apple Airpods sounded more natural (your sound was much similar to the sound from your recording mic) in both indoors and outdoors. Man these are solid. Mics are great too it's just still not an Apple level in my opinion. I would order AirPods Pro but I am Samsung S23 Ultra user (super happy with it after 1 week of using tho), so eh. Nonetheless, I've decided to try out cheaper earbuds and ordered Edifier W240TN for the calls, as I prefered their deeper voice sound in quiet environment calls to literally any other earbuds. Recommendation have air pod pros that are going on several years and starting to have issues. So stay with AP Pro or suggestion for something else. Use them for calls and conferences and do listen to videos and music but not priority. Like noise cancellation and multi device connect. Don’t like the fact of no personalization with AP Pro

Excellent review. Just some questions: 1) If you start a phone call and earbuds are inside the charging case, what happen when you pick up one of them? The audio call automatically switch to the earbud or you have to do it manually from the phone dialer (selecting the right audio destination?) 2) Are you able to set "Transparency mode" as default mode to use with a single earbud, without the need to set it manually every time you wear one of them? That because with the excellent Liberty 4 earbuds you cannot do these 2 basic things and It's very annoying....

I'm sorry, 120db? How did you test this? At that noise level, one would get earing damage after 12 seconds. This is a geniune question btw, I already ordered a pair since I really don't believe that the cheaper Oneplus buds 3 can compare to earbuds twice the value. I use a decibel meter to test volume. I don't use my own ears for that. I'm well aware of the dangers of high volume. Hence using a db meter.

Thanks for the mic comparisons. OnePlus mic sound seems artificial and distant, but remains clear, and seems like the background noise is completely filtered out. That's an acceptable compromise for me.

Not that I'm aware of. Locking in basic functions like that is not a good move in my opinion. I've passed that feedback along but I doubt they'll change.

That spatial audio feature is based on Google spatial audio so I think with app update it will be available for all phones with android 13 and spatial audio support like pixel 7/pro. Also I do agree with you that OnePlus needs to give transparency mode strength levels with if possible smart mode to put on transparency mode or level up the strength while talking with others.

I own a pixel 7 pro, the spatial audio in itself doesn't matter, it's the head tracking feature inside spatial audio tab that matters to me, AND THAT IS LOCKED FOR OTHER ANDROID USERS, so yeah they do need that C.C.

I've been using the sony xm4 buds for almost 2 years now, i loved them. But their batteries are getting bad, the left earbud can only hold 30 minutes playtime without ANC per charge. So i just copped the oneplus buds pro 2 on Amazon since i heard a lot of good things about them. Hopefully they will live up to my old sony xm4 buds. Or maybe thats too much to ask since they're $100+ apart😅

I bought these off of amazon for $99USD on sale last week and boy do they sound incredible! It's a bit of a shame the ANC is a bit lacking (especially compared to the sony wf-1000xm4s). But for that price, it's great. Have you found eartips that fit the 1+ buds pro 2?

Is it too bad the ANC? I had a pair of linkbuds s for reference and their anc was just ok. I’ve tried xm4 before but they’re too bulky in my ears so I didn’t get a full anc experience.

@@TheEgo_21The ANC on the oneplus buds for me aren't that great because they don't fit that easily in my ear. They tend to start to slide out after 15 minutes

Golden sound worked dope! It gave it a nice little punch and the treble wasn't harsh which I appreciated, I had low hopes because sound scan for the Anker liberty 3 pro was awful and made everything so harsh/ piercing. But not in the OnePlus, very happy!

I know u have review the edifier stax s3 before and it also support Snapdragonsound. I don't see any real review about this technology and curious if u can cover it

Awesome review bro! 💯 I got these buds a few days ago and they sound insane, easily better than my mtw3s (never thought I'd say that). I've experienced one odd issue though. When I use these buds with my macbook, there's a significant drop in clarity and resolution whereas on my pixel 7 it sounds crystal clear. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I know it's late, but I think MacBooks and iphones don't support Ldac which Android does support. For me, I can't listen to anything other than Ldac because of how much the quality decreases.

I've got my eye on the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, but I've noticed they only support LHDC, AAC, and SBC codecs. My Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, supports AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, LC3, and Opus. I'm curious if the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will deliver a great experience on the AAC codec (I read a rumor about an LC3 codec update too). If not, do you have any recommendations in the ballpark of 150 EUR? Sound quality, volume, and solid bass are my top priorities. Multi-connectivity is a plus for me too. Thanks a bunch! 🙌

I would still choose the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. Hi-Res codecs are nice but will not change your experience with this product.

from what i've read, the spatial audio and head tracking isn't brand locked, but is only available to android 13 devices (+ the relevant update/patch). Even other OnePlus phones don't have spatial audio with the Buds Pro 2.

Bought the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and they are way better than my Soundcore Liberty 4’s and Soundcore LP3’s. The fit is much better too. It’s like I’m carrying 10” subwoofers in my ears lol.

No. LHDC is nice to have but codecs should never be a deciding factor when buying earbuds or headphones.
