I can't imagine how many countless hours of work was put into the making of this map. Simply put, It was beautifully done ! @@TheFarmSimGuy Yes I'm watching it again! The poles on the edge of the main road with reflectors are for snow removal guidance. They get feet of snow here IRL and those show the plow drivers where the road is located. Thanks again for the excellent tour.

FYI those grey poles along the road are markers for the snow plows in the winter time so they don't drive off the road. Areas that gets large amounts of snowfall usually have them.

First impressions: Amazing. Accommodates all different styles of play including big open "blank" areas to do with as you like. This could possibly be my new favourite map, closely contended by Greenlands. But I'm biased - Greenlands is extremely close to how the farms and countryside is where I live in the UK haha. It's also not the best for forestry (although there are some options there) This is a great addition for another playthrough on a high quality map with a totally different feel to my UK based ones!

The grey poles along the road are actually there so that the Grader/Snowplow can tell where the edge of the road is in the winter.

Lived in Wyoming for a quarter century and I know Elk Mountain very well. Good job with the map, but of you farm there for real, well, it'll be danged tough. The scenery most definitely looks like the Medicine Bow National Park area, and I've hunted for elk in the region. It absolutely "feels" like the area in real life.

Was our favorite map until it was time to do silage, then we realized all the bunker silos are leaking through the walls, then we went and compared to other custom and base game maps and none of them had such a problem. Shame, since it's the best map out there right now. Hopefully some day this gets fixed and we can go back to it since we haven't been able to find anything that can really compare. If you aren't doing silage and using the bunkers, then feel free to use this map, it's amazing.

Hi FarmSimGuy--- Great map, but I can't get many of the doors to open on the main farm. I can walk into the main house and the garage, but not the greenhouse or shed. Down in the work area, I can't get in to any of the barns or buildings. The machinery is stuck inside. Am I missing a download or something? Just to be clear, this is on the owned land . Thank you.

I loaded the elk creek map but the first thing I found when I go to buy a vehicle it shows up on the lot with no wheels it doesn't matter what I get

Turn off all your mods and try buying a base game tractor, if it looks ok there is a mod clash somewhere, add your mods back in in small batches (3 or 4 at a time) until the problem happens again, and then you’ve narrowed down what mod is causing it and can bin that mod 👍

can someone help I cannot seem to figure out how to install this map, I've 7zipped it and don't know what files to move into the Pdcl file. I've moved everything in and started it. Map still has not popped up in game. I've tried Reddit and chrome and nothing explains how to install it so you can play it. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you unzip it? It’s a package of mods, and hopefully you downloaded it direct from the modder as the sharing sites have a corrupt version

It’s inaccurate. The trees need to be growing at more of a 45 angle. The wind there is re-damn-diculous! I spent a winter working on I80 through Elk Mountain & I can honestly say it was the most miserable experience of my life & I’ve suffered 3rd degree burns. Good looking map tho.
