Yes, I love the sidearm. I live in a open carry state and do this often as well as conceal carry under certain circumstances. Always remember: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. No matter what anyone says, this is in the Civil Bill of Rights which applies to the individual People. Carry and carry often, I say! It is YOUR Right.

Did you ever do a video explaining the difference between regular Elkas and Hester edition?
@HesterEdition
@HesterEdition 3 жыл бұрын
No video but have explained several times on our social media, I know I need to do a video, but the difference is every thing, elka only makes stage 3-5 in most cases, we do all 5 We have modified extended and compressed lengths to max the potential of the vehicle we build for. We have a custom 2 stage high/low speed valving design in all 5 stages to offer stage 5 level performance across the board. Along with Elka's epic shock quality and legendary rage pedigree, you get a shock package totally transforms the vehicle they are installed in.

I ride with 200+ hp sxs in a stock teryx. Don't blame anyone for doubting it keeps up. With that said, how much for the front-end long travel kit. Don't need rear, as it's the front end that is maxing out and turning into snowplow at the base of big bowels.

It comes as a whole set up, on a teryx you will go from 8" to 18" of wheel travel and ride better than a KRX with our MT Long travel. Shoot, JUST adding our shocks on your rig, not even the long travel is night and day. Check out our Everything Elka playlist to see videos on both set ups on the Teryx.

A verry professional video - in Germany it´s hard to get any suspension gear for the Uforce 1000, MJ 2022. Originally buyed at the dealer, the uforce is way to low for huntin purposes to get through the woods - i would need between 10-20 cm more space below the machine. Are these suspensions able to lift the uforce that much? Thank you verry much for your response.

If I bought a set of these how often do you need to rebuild them and can I rebuild them myself
@HesterEdition
@HesterEdition Ай бұрын
They are rebuild-able, they are top shelf race shocks, we build for MANY many vehicles both utility and sport alike. Rebuild times very based on use and abuse on them, they last a tremendous amount to the masses, in race situations beat on relentlessly you will rebuild once a year, not racing, 10's of thousands of miles. We have customers report well over 20k miles and they still ride like the day they got them. If you have the skill and tools to rebuild, yes you can rebuild them, by getting the parts from Elka or one of there many service centers.

@HesterEdition
@HesterEdition 2 жыл бұрын
Chucking the "barely adequate" stock shocks, any aftermarket will be a big improvement. Most will depend on your use, if you are mostly roads and drags, you could just get new springs and up for the added weight, but if you are really using the suspension a set of Elka Legacy shocks will be a MASSIVE upgrade over stock and the best bang for buck.

What are the Differences between a regular Elka Shock, and A Hester Edition Elka Shock?
@HesterEdition
@HesterEdition Ай бұрын
Our Hester Edition Elkas are designed by me, I start with the raw specs of the unit, then build prototypes, then test, test, test, and test some more, make all changes along the way. I use custom pistons and all the valving is my final spec, the shock specs themselves also are designed to use what the manufacture left on the table. this is also where a good amount of our shocks we gain lift (well a longer shock that will happen) and with the longer shock also gains more travel. Elka works off stock shock specs and improves from there. A lot of the shocks we build, Elka does not make they leave to me to do it OR they will only make certain stages, where I do all the work to do all 5 stages (scenario, Take a Z950, Elka only makes a 2.5 stage 5. I made 2.0 in 5 stages AND the 2.5 stage 5, so Elka makes 1, I make 6 giving the most options and an awesome upgrade for every budget). Long story short, the Hester Editions are all my work, I partnered with Elka to build my suspension. Nobody tests as much as me, nor build pretty much every scenario for each unit we make them fore. Example: Kawasaki Teryx, with all the models, and every scenario we build for that 1 machine, I designed, and tested a total of 75 shock builds. For the same unit, Elka makes 3 (Stage 3 4 and 5). I do not build a "theoretical" shock like most, I make sure it is the best it can be for that platform and capabilities. In other words, I am the "Shelby" to Ford as an analogy. We keep adding more and more and more vehicles all the time, AND Elka has a list of current vehicles for me to redesign. Elka makes the absolute BEST suspension out of the box, very high quality, they stand behind the quality and build of every shock. We offer a great value and a LOT of bang for your buck :). We do sell ALL of Elkas products along side our own, both are amazing upgrades, BUt where we make the Hester Edition, Elka normally points customers to us to get so much more for the same money as the standard Elka shocks for that particular vehicle. Bit long, but hope that helps :) I love what I do for my shocks and with Elka. We just built a new building specifically for the suspension business, I have a MX track (ex pro MX racer, use to build my own suspension for my YZ and KX's back in the day) and I will use 10 acres to build my new suspension test facility, so we hope to have a LOT more cool videos, showing the shocks. Lots to do, so little time haha.

@Searchin4tone
@Searchin4tone 4 жыл бұрын
I have a Brute force and I've been researching these different stages. The stage 1 is a big upgrade but to me the stage 2 with the rebound adjustment is what's important. When you adjust your pre-load ,having the ability to compensate with rebound adjustments will keep your shock balanced. Hit the whoops /rocky uneven terrain without bucking off and losing control. To answer your question, the stage1 is a custom shock for you. Your weight, what you have on the quad gear wise etc. Brute shocks are horrible. The stage 1 will be an improvement over stock shocks.

I absolutely need the adjustability here in AZ. 3/4 seems perfect but a 4/5 seems like our type of play mode, to bad the wallet and the wife thinks different!!! LOL SOON the 3/4

As far as OEM fox's, depends on what vehicle you have, but YES, a vast majority of vehicles the Elka will be built to out perform the stock Fox shocks. Now... If you BUY custom built Fox's, that is a whole other matter as Fox builds great suspension, BUT for OEM, they have to listen to the manufacture and meet their price they will pay, therefor hardly any STOCK Fox shock that come on a vehicle is built right, mediocre at best. Upgrading the shocks is the BIGGEST upgrade you can ever do on a vehicle. And we sell massive upgrades for just about every major manufacture of ATV/SXS, and Trucks and Jeeps. Just give us a call and let us help TOTALLY change your ride.

So the stage 2 you can adjust the rebound only and stage 3 you can adjust compression only. What is the best adjustment to play with...? Is it preferable to play with your rebound or compression?
@HesterEdition
@HesterEdition 3 жыл бұрын
Yes... Lol. Sorry, there lies in the preference of what you wish to do. If you want to control additude thats rebound. If you want to play with stiffer or softer for verying load weights that is compression. If you want both that's stage 4 or 5s

name of the game in powersports. Top notch suspension can get pricey, but offer the biggest gains and bang for buck than anything else on the machine. In many cases, cost LESS that a set of wheels and tires, and gain you worlds more!

Compare to oem crappy shocks, yes very. Most oem shocks are 4-600 a piece for lower end vehicles, and on high performance 2500+ each, ours are much better priced, unless you are trying to price stage 5s vs stock on let's say a Kawasaki Mule or Honda Pioneer, then yes we cost more, but are a whole new universe better built. Dollar for dollar, we can beat oem, provide a world better ride and performance and are fully rebuildable, not cheap, over priced oems. What vehicle do you have and I am happy to prove that to you.

@HesterEdition
@HesterEdition 2 жыл бұрын
We show the difference in stages extremely clear, show you the clickers and what stage add. That IS the difference in stages. The shock bodies and specs do not change, the stage is your preference on how much personal tuneability you want on the shocks. What else would you like me to show?
@TrainWreck000
@TrainWreck000 2 жыл бұрын
@@HesterEdition define the specific differences in each Shock or stage; don’t talk in generalities…be specific. Example…maybe one comes with dual coils and the other doesn’t.
@HesterEdition
@HesterEdition 2 жыл бұрын
@@TrainWreck000 stage has nothing to do with springs, the vehicle applications does, some vehicles will have dual rates, some vehicles do not, the springs have nothing to do with stage. Stage 1 pre-load only, stage 2 pre-load and rebound clicker, stage 3 rebound Removed and reservoir added with low speed compression, stage 4 adds rebound back on, stage 5 splits the dual stage valving for independent high speed and low speed adjustability, just like clearly shown and stated in the video, it is that simple in stage selection, not over comicated. Specific vehicles will only have certain size bodies and spring configuration and only higher stages, like pure sport high performance will only have stage 5s. But when stage selection is available it really is that plain and simple on selection based Your wants on personal tuneability and features you want on it. As show on the table, a stage 1 and stage 5 IS the same shock, you clearly gain the added features. No need to over complicate explanation when it really is that cut and dry.
