I am curious. I’ve watched the video 3 times and i feel i am missing something. What is the variation? Are the hoses different? All things being equal, what is different?

The variation appears to be in the hose here. Since in each demo, the firefighters are using the same flow/psi/tip size/distance from tip to ground, and as mentioned, they’re determining whether nozzle weight and/or hose construction/internal diameter are bigger factors with whip. Notice the blue hose seems more difficult to kink? Not sure if the types of hose is listed anywhere but reach out to these guys-they’re awesome! A lot of hoses have been created for higher (100psi) pressures. Don’t want to get into a debate on fog or SB but also check out some of the differences b/t fog & SB videos by Brass Tacks crew. ...and check Dennis LeGear’s Hose Dreams and other studies like it. The industry’s best are finding it is not just about changing the nozzles. It’s also about the hose (and pumping the rig correctly). Great question and again-reach out to these guys.
