Reign brought me here, but I cannot describe how much this song speaks to me on a personal level. I picture the face of a man who used me every time I sing it...I loved him, but I told him I would not be his side chick, and he promised I wouldn't be, but that's exactly what he made me. And so...I hated him, I loved him...I was conflicted, just like in this song, but ultimately I stayed true to what I told him...I refused to be a side chick, and so I left.

Finally someone who gets it. On the Reign video of this song everyone wants to talk about this being a song that represents Mary and Francis, even though the "beautifully unfinished" is the only part that actually spoke to them. The rest of it was about Lola and Narcisse, and I too saw patterns in their relationship that I had experienced with an abusive ex. "You got me like a ragdoll now I'm dancing on your string" was so poignant for me.

This song came randomly to my mind today and i did check it up. 4 years ago i had 17yo and it was about the love of my life leaving me all behind. im 21yo now and it still breaks my heart when i remember him. the song brought back so much feelings. at least once in my life i knew what it means to love someone deeply. sometimes i was finding myself whispering what if he loved me back too, maybe all the story could have been different. but it s fine life goes on and time changes everything and maybe, maybe the best is yet to come. ^^

Around 3 or 4 years ago, I fell for someone who can never be mine. This person showed me how special I was **we were close friends and classmates and so we spend a lot of time together. He had a girlfriend of 7 years **he is btw a 2nd courser** so I didn't bother all the acts he showed me. But the way he treated me gave me mixed signals. At some point, he told me he liked me. But I never want to wreck any relationships. And so I stopped myself from falling harder and pretended nothing was said. One day, our circle of friends went to his apartment and his girlfriend was also there. Suddenly, I felt suffocated and I wanted to escape but I didn't want him or our friends to question me leaving. So, I was there, staring at the person I love with his girl, pretending I was fine when deep inside I was slowly dying. I saw how she took good care of him, how much she loved him. I knew then, I could never be her. I knew he was bothered by me seeing them that way but I tried my best to act normal and just smiled. And so I let the thought of "us" go because I knew it was the right thing to do. And I knew with what I saw, he was with the right person.
