I love Elle and have several units in different dark colors. I don't have any problem with the knots at the lace front, for some reason. My favorite Jon Renau brunette is 1BRH30, Chocolate Pretzel and I love Elle in that color. I just got Rachel in the same color because she has a hand-tied cap and is like a longer version of my other favorite wig from JR, Heidi (also in 1BRH30) (and Rachel makes a great ponytail too). All of them have perfect lace fronts and very fine, almost undetectable knots, luckily. I love Caramel Ribbon -- a beautiful color. I do think Elle is one of the most natural and versatile wigs made these days. Wonderful tips as always, Michele. 💖💖

Hi Liz! Great minds think alike - I think Elle is a beautiful style.😀 I agree, I have been very pleased with Jon Renau's front hairlines recently - even for darker colors (I have wigs in Toffee Truffle, Caramel Ribbon, Shaded Peach, and Hot Cocoa and love all of them). Chocolate Pretzel looks like a beautiful dark color! I may have to give that a try sometime and Heidi and Rachel are both definitely on my wish list! @@micheleswigreviews One thing about Chocolate Pretzel is interesting. Technically it is mostly 1B, but that is far too dark on me when the whole piece is 1B. Somehow, with the careful placement of 30 throughout the wig, it looks perfect on me (my biohair is probably a 3) -- the blending and placement are so well executed. It is harder to find something as good for me in Raquel Welch, but 4/10SS (Iced Java) and 2/4 are the closest. But, I try other colors too and they work, ashy blondes and Shaded Hazelnut, for example. Fun to try different colors. 👩🏻😍

@@LizLyonsPhD Absolutely - I love trying different colors too.👍😀 I did see that the Chocolate Pretzel is black with some red highlights. I think it may be a bit dark for me. I have however been tempted by Raquel Welch's Iced Java. I have seen some beautiful photos of wigs in that color and surprisingly it's not very dark. It's amazing how many different colors you can get away with wearing, especially if you get rooted colors and adjust your makeup and clothing a little...💖

@@micheleswigreviews You do seem to match best with medium browns and, since most wig companies offer a good selection of dynamic blends in 6's and 8-12's, you can never go wrong with them. For me, finding dynamic blends in 2-4 is harder. The 1BRH30 does not look black. The 1B in it is more like a cool very dark brown and there are so many subtle strands of lighter colors in it that I can wear it. I can't wear a 1 (blue-black) or 1B (soft or off-black) but I can get away with this blend.

@@LizLyonsPhD It's too bad that there aren't more options in the 2-4 range! I don't know much about these colors but I'm so glad that the 1BRH30 works for you and does not look black. It sounds lovely! My mom had very dark brown/black hair before it went gray and I always thought it was so beautiful! Re the color codes, it just goes to show that you really can't only rely on the code, you need to see the color on a wig or in photos/videos to really know what it looks like! I really enjoyed this video. I just got this wig in FS 26/31 and I love it overall; however, the bangs are a little too long and won't stay out of my face. I am going to try your styling suggestions to see that helps. Thanks again!!

Hi Megan! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed my video. I hope the styling tips work for you. I will be adding a new video soon about how I steam the synthetic fibers to help keep them away from the face. One thing I would not do is cut bangs. I have tried that quite a few times with other wigs and I have never liked the results. Good luck!

Hi Patricia! Caramel Ribbon is a beautiful brunette shade with reddish blonde highlights.🤎💛🧡 This is a warm color. I personally like the highlights but they are pretty bold. Hope this helps!💖

@@iritliebman6840 Hi Irit! I looked at Elle again carefully this morning and while there is no permatease on the monofilament top, I did find a little bit of permatease at the roots of some of the wefted portions of the cap. You really have to search to find it though. Hope this helps!
