Happy Mother’s Day 💐! Thanks for adding my enclosures in this video and thanks for the compliments!! Rocky’s background is made with styrofoam covered in grout. I used Nontoxic acrylic paint to dye the grout some diff colors on the last couple of layers. Then, I topped it off with some Minwax Polycrylic (water-based) and sprinkled some play sand in as it dried to give it a rock-like texture. He definitely uses it & climbs up the wall sometimes which is how he got his name “Rocky” lol. I am thinking of using the dryloc method on my Skink’s enclosure when I rebuild his this summer since I haven’t tried that method yet. Sloth’s name is a Goonies reference. I started to go with Chunk from Goonies, but went with Sloth instead. I’ll save Chunk for a later pet one day lol. I am not familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist, but it definitely does sound like that name is fitting for my guy lol. He has his two spots that he likes and barely moves outside of those two spots. I call him my pet rock all the time 🤣 Milk Frogs’ Enclosure- The white PVC pipe sticking up with a cap on it is for siphoning out the drainage layer. I burned the PVC pipe going up the tank and then covered it in Shellac so it could go along with the other two bamboo logs in there. Thanks Again! I love all of the other tanks featured too especially Jomar’s underground system. I might have to borrow that idea for a later build. -Ty

4 ft for a leopard gecko is AWESOME. 😍Which one was yours?
@moremoregeckos82972 жыл бұрын
For an active gecko I felt is was necessary for him my other Leo’s aren’t as active so they can be kept in 55-75 gallons. My enclosure was the one for saffron from Nicholas.

Great video! I would love to make all my reptile tanks bioactive in the future, what do you use for your leopard gecko substrate and are coconut chips safe for leopard geckos? Currently I am using paper towels but i would like something more natural looking. Thanks 🙂
@ellesreptiles2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! 😊 My leopard gecko is on a mixture of top soil, play sand (like for kids sandboxes, not calcium sand) and a small amount of excavator clay. I wouldn't personally use coconut chips for leopard geckos, just because they are made to hold humidity, and those pieces are a bit big if they were to accidently swallow one.
@annabethsfarmadventures86102 жыл бұрын
@@ellesreptiles I used to use coconut chips to see how they worked, they got dirty very and quickly, they are also pretty expensive. i will try the sand, soil and clay mixture. Thanks!

my new leopard gecko isn’t eating many of her dusted mealworms and it’s been a week in is there anything i should do or eventually she’ll eat more as she gets used to it since she is eating some?
@ellesreptiles2 жыл бұрын
How many is "not many" and how old is she? If she's a baby and she's only eating 5-10 a day, that's normal for the first week. If it's less than that, keep an eye on her weight and make sure she's not lethargic or acting sick. I also suggest trying different feeder insects - she might just not be a fan of the mealworms
