What a beautiful enclosure you built for him! I just got my very first Ball Python. I’ve had him for 3 weeks now, he’s eaten twice for me and I’m absolutely in love with him!! I think he’s happy with his enclosure or is at least, not unhappy. Lol! His belly is a pinkish color so he’s started his shedding process. I’ve never had a reptile (I’m 60 y/o) and I’m so glad I waited until I did enough research to be able to do it correctly. I got him from JKR and they’ve been great communicators with me. So important!

So many people out there with Ball Pythons are fine with keeping them in tiny racks with no enrichment or anything to climb on. But look how happy he is climbing! My breeder actually told me in the care sheet not to put any wood climbing products in her tanks, I didn’t listen lol. My Blue Eyed Luci loves to climb! I wish more creators would highlight the necessity to offer climbing opportunities for Ball Pythons! Thank You for this wonderful informative video!

Great video. I just received my enclosure the other day so now I've made my shopping list so I can start the process of making my first ever bioactive enclosure for my eventual first ever ball python. Gotta make sure I finish the tank first and can keep temps/humidity at proper levels before actually putting a living thing in it. Also good to let the plants root properly. Keep on making all these great videos, I learn a lot from them.

Innovative use of that trellis! I'm always trying to brainstorm new hides. I have one that was a fancy ceramic container i bought from goodwill and dremel'd out an entrance hole (small, but for the babies) The girl i had in there would do her entire shed inside of it and the shed would wind up as a small ball. It was crazy.

I've been wanting to upgrade my ball python, Missy (female), to a PVC enclosure- I'm currently figuring out size and shopping for the right enclosure. She was my first snake and now getting to know her, I can give her better. She definately likes to climb and explore, though generally only comes out late at night. I'm hoping to see a bit more of her if I give her a lot more to do in her enclosure. I probably won't to bioactive, I kill all my plants anyway and I've heard some ball pythons can just steamroller them (I'm pretty sure she would, she flattens her fake plants.) This enclosure looks so great!

@ellesreptiles3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! 🥰 The top segments, below the ceiling? No, he's been through the top ones about 20 times already 😂. The bottom diamond segments are too close together for him to try, but if he did, the whole trellis stretches out like a accordian, so he wouldn't get stuck 😊.

The background or the tank in general? The background would have been fine (I have this kind of background another vision tank, still going strong years later).
