Very beautiful interview. So honest and truthful! Thank you both, Rick and Ellen. It is refreshing and enriching to meet Rupert Spira's radiant wife in Awareness.

Suzanne Doucet You must be bloody joking! It was a load of muddled drivel. A pleasant lady, yes - but she could hardly string a structured sentence together. She had to pause to think how to explain her true nature. Do you have to think to know what you are? All this time and Rick Archer still shows no discrimination when it comes to selecting people to interview. But this time he must have had a lobotomy. Did he really think people would be interested in this unilluminated.confusion? It is like the very opposite of Spiro and Lucille. To be conscious of consciousness is not awakening. It is just an experience in meditation. Nor does a real awakening come and go, as she claims. It is a permanent condition. where you have seen you are not the mind, emotions or body. You have transcended these in your formless nature and seen that you are eternal and beyond time, unborn and non-specific and untouched by the material side of life and therefore free of karma and also non-locatable as any specific point. So you know you are sexless and you know you are bodiless in your true nature. Now you are unconditioned in your ultimate Self. Only there is no sense of an I, a me, is there? When you realise the spiritual Self you realise that it is infinite, everywhere, beyond time and space and entirely outside of creation, so there is nowhere else to go beyond the Absolute because this is God and how could there be anything beyond That? This is real Enlightenment. But the form, the mind, the personality is not free; these do not get enlightened. Therefore to progress you have to turn back to the form-nature. And then you see the body is precious because it is the means of experiencing on this level of reality and without a mind you could not function and without an emotional body you could not experience the sensitivity and beauty of being alive. So why did she not say that? Rick Archer's endless evolution theory is also limited because it only includes creation and Spirit lies outside of creation and Intelligence is not the ultimate truth - the Being of God is, but it is not the god of religion which is very limited. Religion does not know anything about God. God is beyond all knowing - God just IS without any qualities or attributes or desires.

Suzanne Doucet Giving kids sugar, candy and ice-cream all the time, doesn't make one their real friend. Giving kids A+ on all tests irrespective of what they write and answer might not be the best way to help them learn and improve.

Suzanne Doucet Do you think that the world would be a much better place if every car mechanic was given five star ratings and top reviews and certified and allowed to work on cars and fix brakes? Do you think that the world would be a much better place if every student in a medical school was given A+ and top reviews and certified and allowed to suggest medicine to people and to perform surgery? Do you think that the world would be a much better place if everyone appearing for a driving tests was passed with 100% marks and allowed to drive all kind of vehicles unrestricted on all roads? Do you think that the world would be a much better place if every car was rated safe and reliable? Do you think that the world would be a much better place if every interview, every book, every teacher, every teaching and every method was called wonderful, radiant and delightful?
@TransferOfAwakening9 жыл бұрын
Moonsod It is very easy to call any interview “delightful” and “wonderful” - in fact, you can do it without even watching the interview and I suspect some of them might not even watch the entire interview and just call it “wonderful”.

I enjoyed this interview. She's not an intellectual and doesn't present herself as such. She's been more on the feeling side her whole life. At times she searches for a way to articulate her experience, but so do more intellectually oriented "awakened" people, because the ultimate reality really can't be encapsulated in words. Her softness, vulnerability, and what's been described in some comments as "fragility" might be uncomfortable for some viewers. But, for me, she is a lovely human expression of the Divine, just being herself. Thank you, Rick and Ellen, for this interview. Blessings.

I too am enjoying this conversation with Ellen and Rick and love the expression of intelligence, openness and spontaneity that shine through ~ absent of contrivance and full of honesty. Lovely. ♥︎ I completely resonate with wanting to express oneself truly and accurately through language, thus maybe taking a bit of time with the words to find those that represent experience most closely. Intellectual proficiency does not necessarily signify a greater degree of intelligence. Intelligence can perhaps be perceived most in those who are sensitive, intuitive and open, listening for what Presence is silently communicating. This is clearly happening here.

Anthony F If you think Rick’s interviews haven’t changed over time for better and if you think that the honest “criticism” hasn’t played a role in this “positive” change for better, then, perhaps, you haven’t watched the interviews that carefully. If you think that the spiritual teachers don’t have maturity, wisdom and courage to take, appreciate and understand direct criticism and to use it in a positive, constructive way for the benefit of their own teaching and method, perhaps, you greatly underestimate them.

Anthony F Would like it better if no one ever rated any movie or if everyone rated every movie 5 star, a must watch, insightful and brilliant? Would like it better if no one ever rated any restaurant or if everyone rated every restaurant 5 star, a awesome, and delightful? If you were looking for a teacher for your kid, would you like it better if no teacher was rated by anyone or if every teacher was rated five star, awesome, brilliant and exceptional? … If you were looking for a doctor for your kid, would you like it better if no doctor was rated by anyone or if every doctor was rated five star, awesome, brilliant, compassionate, caring and exceptional?

Anthony F What authority, power, credentials, posts and designation and do reviewers on the Rotten Tomatoes (www.rottentomatoes.com/) have other than their own perspective, experience, taste, opinions and having the experience of having watched the movie? But, I am sure glad and grateful that care enough to leave their own review and rating and I do use it in deciding which movie to watch and which one skip. I surely don’t have time to watch every movie. Would it have been better if no one, at least no average movie watcher ever left a comment, review or rating? I don’t think so. Would it have been better if everyone rated every movie five star, must watch, witty, insightful, brilliant, funny and hugely entertaining ? I don’t think so. What do you think?

Review :- Teacher: +2 (on the scale of -5 to +5). For comparison, Ramana, Tolle, Nisargadatta, Katie would be +5. Message or teaching: 0 (it was not clear what she was teaching). For comparison, "Who am I?", "Power of Now", "I Am That", "The Work" will be a +5. Interview itself: 2. Rick supported her exceedingly well. He was very kind, compassionate, forgiving, cordial, accommodating, supportive and helpful and not at all confrontational. Rick's engagement: 3. Very good.

The big take away from all of these vids, meditation, therapy, study, prayer, self work, etc. comes down to this, for me. Am I ready to 'drop the tiller', or, do I 'still have work to do'? Only your hairdresser knows for sure. And my experience is....I drop the tiller...until....something comes up that I need to work on. Over and over....until...the divine hairdresser says so. And we all go back and forth. You are not 'done' until God says so. Ask Ramana.

brazfan Only thing that 'I' need to drop is... ...'myself'.... Once one truly drops 'I', 'me' and 'myself' - everything else gets dropped automatically. With the dropping of 'I', 'me' and 'mine' - "my opinion", "my views", "my ideas", "my ideas of how it should be", "my ideas what is good", "my ideas of what is right and wrong", "my ideas of what others should do" and... ..."my ideas of what I should do" - get dropped automatically.

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. ~ King James 2000 Bible, Chronicles 29:11 Lord, you reign supreme. Lord, you are the source of all true power. Your greatness is expressed in the infinity of the open sky, your mercy is expressed in the birds taking flight. The roaring oceans sing of your majesty, the diving dolphins sing your praise. This fertile land is your creation, the fragrant flowers bring loving message. Your glory is in the sound of the thunder, your love is in the softness of the falling raindrops. Your mystery reflects in newborn’s eyes, your kindness flows from the mother’s breasts. Help me remember that O my Lord, if you may.

By letting go of the dust of my opinions, my judgments and my will, my eyes become clear. By seeing clearly, I know that only the Lord has a complete vision. When my vision is clear, I see that all is the Lord’s creation only and only he knows how to best use it. By letting go of my idea of me and mine, I begin to see without blocks. I know that the Lord alone is the source of the power, thinking and intelligence that I call mine. Forgiveness allows me the freedom from the past and future and clears the blocks that prevent the vision of ever present peace and uncaused love. When the surrender and forgiveness are complete, the love starts flowing on its own. The true, uncaused, unconditional love is beyond this world. The true, uncaused, unconditional love is the Lord’s love in my own heart. The true, uncaused, unconditional love is the ascend to the heaven.

It would be interesting to be a fly on the Spira's dining room wall during dinner. Aside from domestic banter and when talk strays into a non-dual realm, it's doubtful Rupert has any idea what she's babbling and she has no clue to his 'I never go anywhere' state of being... But perhaps they cancel each other out nicely. I mean if you, for example, lie down and listen to Rupert's stellar utube meditation of 'Bringing Expectation to an End' you will most likely drift off into a pleasant doze from his deep tones and long pauses between nuggets of insightful rays of illumination. If you lie down and listen to this you will most likely drift off into an unsettled sleep from furrowing your brow trying to figure out wtf she is saying and your brain shutting down to tune it out. To be superficial tho, she is pretty and he is handsome so they probably make a mean stir fry in the kitchen and bedroom.

A *-0.5 on the new -3 to +3 scale. Disclaimers at the end of the comment.* Even though she is probably real, largely a waste of time. tim13354 said it well in the thread here beginning with the words 'Another _'tour de force' of 'Spiritual woo-woo" '_ I like this woman and think she is most likely genuine and has at least a basic grounding in what she is (despite the hairdo and the silly lipstick - I am waiting for this to be recognized one day as a sign of collective psychosis in women) and I want to give this interview a high rating. But her babbling is really just way too confused. If I went to have a talk with her (she might call that therapy) in complete mental health, I am sure that after an hour of listening to this constant stuttering and looking for words and then not really saying anything, I would certainly be in need of therapy *afterwards*. The rare occasions on which some clarity arose in this interview, it did so due to Rick who time and again, observing her drowning in the swamp of her own words, comes to her rescue by saying something like "I think I know what you mean" (which of course neither he nor anyone else did) and then expounding his own vaguely related pet views and puts them in her mouth which she gratefully accepts by saying "I agree" and then the next round of obfuscation begins. *Rick: we don't want to spend 2 hours of listening to what some "teacher" 's approaches to therapy or their workshops are. We want to know how his realization felt, how they experience the world now, we want to know what their cosmological insights are, what insights into karma, rebirth and the afterlife they have etc. Their god damn books, their therapy, their sessions, how they work with people can be mentioned in 10 minutes at the end if they have to, but that is not what is of primary interest to the listeners. What you are doing at the moment is providing for a simple advertizing platform for some yoga teachers' programs or some such, but you provide for no reason at all why we should even be interested in them beyond what we can find in offers of local yoga teachers. We need the interview to demonstrate a revelation that they indeed have the realization that justifies their being interviewed on batgap in the first place.* _About the rating: anything below and including 0 means by and large a waste of time, and anything below 0 is not only worthless but damaging to the world. For comparison, on that scale, Francis Bennett would be a +2 or more and Harri Aalto would be roughly a tentative +2 to +2.5. Not coming up with original, independent cosmological insights bans any interviewee from > 2.0 ratings as a matter of principle._ *General Disclaimer:* the rating _pertains to an interview, not to the interviewee_. If the rating is high it means merely and exclusively that I consider the interview to be of high value relative to the stated purpose of the channel, and that it is therefore no waste of time to listen to the interview. It would _not_ imply that whatever the interviewee speaks is the truth (as if I was the arbiter over that) or that you should follow him/her or accept whatever that person offers. _That is particularly in need of emphasis if that would be an expensive enterprise_ !

Your kingdom come. Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. ~King James 2000, Matthew 6 =================== Lord, your will is supreme. Only you have true power. Only your will is real. Lord, only you have true knowledge. Only your will is truly wise. Only you are the true true judge. Lord, it is all your creation. Only you know what is best for your creation. Only your will is truly benevolent, wise and kind. It is by your will only my Lord that I am here and now. Lord, the birth of this body is by your will. The existence of this body is by your will. You are the source of all its powers. Your love and kindness supports it in this moment. My power think is your gift. You are the source of all my intelligence. Lord, help me remember it in every moment, but, only if it is your will for me to remember it in every moment. What is expressed is your will only. The rose petals get old, decay and fall. Fallen rose petals become soil and become food for the new, beautiful fragrant rose flowers. Lord, help me see your wisdom in what happens… ...but, only if it is your will. Help me stay ignorant , O, my Lord… ...if your will is better served that way. Help me be kind, wise, compassionate, grateful and bright, O, my Lord... ...help me serve your Light in every moment. Do it only if it your will, O my Lord. Help me stay ignorant, selfish, mean and cruel... ...if your will is better served that way. Only you truly know, my Lord, help me remember that. Allow me to be happy, if it serves your will better. Let me hurt, if my pain serves your will better... ...O, my Lord! Only you know the way!

Another 'tour de force' of 'Spiritual woo-woo". I understand this lady is kinda shy, but she is, after all, a 'Psychotherapist', for which, presumably, she extracts money from people. Which may, or may not, be appropriate. I think she does think Something, but it seems to me she needs to find out exactly what that is, without reference to ANYONE else. And anyone who says that that would be hard to articulate is talking strict Turkey. (Which, as we know, is practically unknown in 'Spiritual' circles.) As Benedict de Spinoza once so elegantly put it: "The object of the idea constituting the human mind is the body, in other words a certain mode of extension which actually exists, and nothing else". If so, certainly an 'agenda' which seeks to establish that Consciousness is independent of the body IS surely the Violence to which the lady alludes So the body IS the mind. I've got it - she's a Yoga teacher.... I think. Next up: Amma......Lawks!

Kwistenbiebel200 Didn't say Psychotherapists shouldn't be prone to 'fragility' - just questioning as to whether taking money from people for 'questionable services' necessarily constitutes 'right livelihood'.But a): I'm not in a position to judge her personally, b): I guess that's between her and her clients and c): She seems not so much a 'Psychotherapist' as a 'Spiritual Teacher'. - That's the 'Holy Business' for you - one MASSIVE and extremely disgusting Scam.Wouldn't like to comment on Psychotherapists - but most Psychiatrists have long ago abandoned Psychotherapy in favour of drugs, which, at least as far as they do -work.As I said, she is shy. But I think she is also confused. Hence my second paragraph.
