Have to love this lady live or studio version. A superb musical talent. The only question is why she didn't go out independently previously. Certainly up there with the best of them. An inspiration to people everywhere. ❤😂😊

Just as a little insight, Ellen Foley was the first one to sing this, even before Meat Loaf. So actually Meat covered her, not vice versa.

I always assumed that she was the one Jim threw the idea to, not meat, but I doubt it. You are right. But what I was getting at was that she is not exactly covering it per say, she is one of the originals.

I adore Jim's work, and he is one of he greatest songwriters of all time in my honest opinion. And yes, Rory Dodd was in a lot of stuff such as the original bat tour and a lot of backing tracks and demo recordings. And help on Bad For Good. Such a wonderful vocalist, and so unknown it's ridiculous. I appreciate your love for Jim and his legacy.

Andrew Hrvatin If you consider the musical "Neverland" (which eventually morphed into the original Bat out of Hell album, and more recently gone back to its roots with the musical that premiered a month or so ago), then yes, she is (she played Wendy, now called Raven, back in the 70s).

Steinman was the first to sing it along with Bette Middler in 1972. He gave it to Folley in 1977 for Neverland but Meat and him had been singing it together since 75 so technically it was neither Meats nor Folleys.

Jim Steinman had two Demo Versions of the Song that were recorded in 1972. One sung by him and one sund by Bette Middler. These Versions especially Jim's are the by far best versions for me. The are so amazing.

His original version, yes. However, his voice disintegrated quite quickly after that unfortunately. A superb, unique, all round talent unfortunately wasted. 😢😊❤😂

Maybe. However, she was about 68 years old in this video, and not too many artists can sing like that at that age. So it's basically a tribute to her musical genius and talent, that she can still perform like that at nearly 70 years of age. She is currently 72.😮❤😂
