This marks a significant step with regard to interconfessional relationships. It should naturally be understood that this text is a working text: it is not to be considered as definitive, but as a stimulus to further efforts toward defining and verifying the text of the New Testament."_ Just open a copy of the UBS New Testament Greek and turn to the first page. There you will see a list of the 5 chief editors who put this abomination together. The 4th name on the list, right before the inerrancy denying Bruce Metzger, is Carlo M. Martini. ... Jesuit Cardinal Martini served on the editorial committee for the United Bible Societies' 2nd, 3rd and 4th editions. These are the "bibles" most modern Christians are using today when they pick up the ESV, NIV, NASB, NET or modern Catholic "bibles". It is interesting to note that the latest United Bible Societies Text, descended from the Westcott and Hort family, boasts, *"the new text is a reality, and as the text distributed by the United Bible Societies and by the corresponding office of the Roman Catholic Church it has rapidly become the commonly accepted text for research and study in universities and church."* _(Kurt & Barbara Aland, The Text of the New Testament, p.35. Grand Rapids: Wm B Eerdmans, 1995.)_ The St. Joseph New American Bible 1970 says in its Preface: "The translators have carried out the directive of our predecessor, Pius XII, in his famous Encyclical Divino Afflante Spiritu, and the decree of the Second Vatican Council (Dei Verbum) which prescribed that..."with the approval of Church authority, these translations may be produced *in cooperation with our separated brethren so that all Christians may be able to use them."* _(From the Vatican, September 18, 1970.)_ This same Catholic bible says on page 44 of the Introduction: *"In general, Nestle's-Aland's Novum Testamentum Graece (25th edition, 1963) was followed. If you have doubt in a type of Bible you really don't acknowledge the word of god. Period. E.G.W never discredited the word of God just because she studied out of King James you guys are stuck

BeYeSeperate. Greetings. It's the first day of 2021 & I saw this video you posted 7 months ago. It popped up in my recommended videos & I actually had forgotten of seen it until I read the comments and saw one from me in there!! I am always axed at how people don't think the version of Bible one uses is important. I wonder if they were making a pie, do they think it would be alright to use the revised recipe that uses canned fruit as opposed to fresh fruit? Or to use pesticide laden fruit as opposed to true organic? Or would they be happy to use a cheap oil in their car as.oposed to a full synthetic that is stated to be used in their new car? Them why would they use a corrupt version of God's word? I answered that question in a different thread in this videos comment section. They don't really want truth like they think they do. It's too obvious that you can't have true doctrine with faulty scripture. Many underlying reasons to their lack of desire for the truth. Laziness, lack of will to be consecrated to God's truth, etc. I really appreciate your posting this video. I loved how he did the work to count the times ellen white used alternate versions in the SOP and testimonies to the church. Who is the speaker? It was made in 2011. @@rickymathern5162 agreed. The level of stupidity and ignorance blows my mind. There are many words in the KJV that are not even accurate in terms of explaining the state of the dead which is literally one of the 28 fundamental beliefs of the Adventist church. And you are right. THEY ARE STUCK. People like this split hairs over topics that are irrelevant in spreading the Gospel to the world and actually DEMONSTRATING the love of JESUS. It is not surprising though. Jesus himself was always in tension between the liberal Romans and the ultra conservative Jews. Its not an abnormal thing to encounter these cold, formalist, adventist individuals who have been living in a bubble for the last 200+ years. They have literally taken the Spirit of Prophecy as a ceiling to all their understanding. Very profound Biblical insights that have been gathered after the time of Ellen White are considered heretical and not "Adventist" or siding with evangelicals. Again I believe in Ellen White and the blessing that she has been in my life, but she is not my ceiling. Truth is progressive. New insights have been gained since shes been gone that build upon the foundation she has laid. This whole KJV movement is literally stuck in a time bubble.

Method of Bible study is the most important thing in Bible study. When line upon line, precept upon precept is used the difficulty of antiquated versions dissipates. It also highlights the confusion of usage of multiple versions. Our unity is indeed based on Truth. Thank you Brother for this very thoughtful and thorough presentation. Back to the Bible, the Protestant King James Version of the Bible for pure doctrinal beliefs.

These foundations should be taught in prayer meetings, sabbath school classes, but most of all from the pulpit on a weekly basis. We no longer have the time for sermonizing. The body, from ministers to cradle roll , should be learning this every sabbath and beyond.

I’m not sure why the conference doesn’t prepare materials for accomplishing the task of educating members so they are all on the same page with foundational doctrines I also wonder how much time is lost, wasted on the Sabbath when so much more could be accomplished with prayer and interactive teaching and learning about the foundational doctrines so members are able to share them with at least two sources from scripture (ideally from a ‘received text’ bible).

Sadly much of the leading brethren of Wilkinson's time apparently lost complete sight of the Counter-Reformation and fully accepted the Anglo-Catholic "scholarship" behind the revisions. They strongly discouraged any agitation of the topic as "divisive," while increasingly promoting an eucumenical view of ALL versions, like the following from Arthur S. Maxwell: _“Perhaps you too are wondering whether the Book you hold in your hand is really the Bible. You need not worry. No matter what version it may be, it is still the Word of God.. ... So if your Bible happens to be a copy of the King James Version of 1611, or the Douai Version of 1512, or the Revised Standard Version of 1952, or a modern version such as that of Weymouth, Moffatt, Goodspeed, Knox, or Phillips, never mind. Read on. Read all the versions you can obtain.”_ (Your Bible and You, pp. 43, 44. Review and Herald, 1959.) When the RV came out in 1885, Jones and Waggoner wisely observed that, _"the Revision Committee, in retaining the word “angels” in Hebrews 2:7, while they rejected it in Psalm 8:5, have convicted themselves of inconsistency. Such renderings go a long ways toward making some people doubt whether the New Version is a decided improvement on the Old. At any rate, we do not feel inclined to use it to the exclusion of the Old Version. While we find it very valuable as a commentary, we regard it in that light, and cannot rely upon it with that confidence that we do upon the version commonly used. A translator of the Bible needs, far more than the commentator, to be acquainted with the entire Bible, and thoroughly imbued with its spirit. we very much doubt if it is possible for any body of men to agree upon a version of the Bible that will be superior to King James's version."_ (Signs of the Times, October 29, 1885, p. 650). @@BeYeSeparate I get your guys point but The Canon Scripture compared to the Dead Sea scrolls with about .01 error. Not arguing just making a statement from what I witnessed at the museum when they were in tour. The key to it all is the feast. Which is inscribed with the hand of God. The angels cannot keep them with us or understand the meaning behind them yet only be amazed at God's mercy and Love.

Dan Moen Hi. Good question. I am reminded of the scripture KJV Matthew 7:14 "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.". What that means to me is that there are few truly sincere people compared to how many people that are looking. There lots of other descriptions of those people. Another is being lukewarm. Oh, how I don't want to be one of those people but I know that I AM because I could be doing so much more to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I am not. I'm working on it though. God help me. We have such fallen natures that seeking "true truth" is not as simple as it sounds. I think we have many levels of thought processes that we don't deal with or even discern are there. But you know what? Our God, our Heavenly Father, is so good and He gave us His Word to enable us to discern things. To discern the outside world and events. And to discern inside our own thinking: KJV Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Anyway, good question. My short answer is they really aren't committed to God enough to want to make sure they are not being deceived. And that evil one has done a great job in deception. But he isn't powerful like God. All his power comes FROM God! Right? So we must pray for those who don't see the truth or want to see the truth. Which actually happens to be wrong. Our Lord Jesus Christ diid not enter into the Most Holy Place (please don't be lazy and write properly as a true Christian should), that's why it is so dangerous to use those modern versions, because in so many ways it dostorts the Actual Message and Teaching of God for us. The word of God states that a Priest officiates His service, and for us to know about this, we need to find what does God said through His servants according to His Word. And it is in Exodus and Leviticus in which God Himself gave instructions on how the High Priest ought to officiate the Service. The priest could never and would never officiated from the Most Holy Place rightaway, it is a process of steps that were to be done before that High Priest could get to the Most Holy Place. They were following the pattern from Melchîsedec and furthermore the One from our Lord Jesus Christ Who in Heaven was to do in the Heavenly Sanctuary. At pentecost He (Jesus Christ our Lord) did not enter into the Most Holy Place of the Sanctuary.

To destroy a culture or a movement get rid of their history by NOT teaching them their history, by ignoring it or by rewriting it. So why are the 1980 statistics so sad? Shortly after 1957 and Questions on Doctrine the Sanctuary doctrine has NOT been taught in our schools or churches and MOST know nothing of this teachings. The ones who know of and still believe the beautiful truths of the sanctuary message must vigorously educate the church members in this matter! Cottrell, Ford, and Knight and their ilk, have corrupted the Church knowingly or unknowingly. And as you said, they all began with disbelief of the Spirit of Prophecy, and really of the Bible.
