I came back to add that, I love how my new one turned out! Instead of painting fall colors between the trees, I added elements drawn in ink; an owl, ,a hawk on a nest ,a cardinal, a woodpecker, a sparrow, a squirrel, fox, a rabbit, mice, spider's webs, butterflies, a cocoon and flowers and grasses to the forest floor. It's one of my favorite pieces yet. Thank you sooo much, Ellen!

How do you keep your colours so strong when wetting them? Is this because they are tube paints? You are so easy to listen to Ellen and this lesson is a really effective way of painting trees 😊

I wish I had acryla gouache. I only have craft acrylic which is kinda runny but I’ll give it a try. I wonder if it would make it easier to do subtle shading on the trees. Thanks, Ellen! I saw your previous video on this technique and I’ve been meaning to try it.
