It's early Saturday morning and I'm the first one awake. I absolutely love this quiet time when I can watch painting tutorials in a quiet space while sipping my hot coffee and feeling cozy. When you mix colours, you remind me of how I cook. ‘A little bit of this, a little bit of that’. Priceless. I did my first abstract birch today! You took about a quarter of the time it took me, but I had so much fun! (The hardest part was ripping the stupid tape for the trees, lol). I am 66 and just started as I have been in for a year, not able to see family (8 grandkids), and had to do SOMETHING. I am so glad I found you on KZbin. Thank you so much. I love this painting. I’m glad you added the last bit of contrasting green. It is very subtle, but it adds completion? to the piece. Sorry I don’t have a very painterly vocabulary!

I loved this tutorial, Ellen! I personally liked the painting you did in the video compared to the one you had already done. I haven't watched a tutorial lately because I haven't had time to paint for the last couple of months. The quality of the video has really improved. Enjoyed the relaxing music, too! Ellen, I think in one of your videos you mentioned a product to help acrylic paints move smoother when painting, but I can’t remember the product. You talked about dipping the brush in the medium before painting. Do you know what I mean?
