Nice show, good turnout, dry sunny weather - perfect! Thanks for the tour 😊 By the way, I believe the Rover 25 was officially launced on 1st December 1999 so almost 25 years ago. I reckon 25 years is still the benchmark for classic status (the current rolling 40 years historic vehicle cutoff being purely an abstract governmental designation).

My dad's Ford Popular, which I mentioned taking my first drive in near Talacre Beach in 1961, was blue, egg-shell blue, from the Dulux range of household paints, applied with a brush! 🙃

I’m not surprised you like the Daimler Dart as it looks like a fish and you like fish. It looks like one of those fish that live very deep in the ocean. I like the E28 M5 and that glorious Saab 900. And I also like the Jeans Beetle. My first girlfriend’s mum had a Jeans Beetle and I thought it was great. Much better than the Renault 14 my mum had, despite being tangibly worse. Last night I decided I was going to watch the sun rise from the top of Mam Tor. Loads of other people had the same idea which was less than optimal for me as I wanted to be on my own up there. But the nice thing is there were loads of young people and they were chatty and chirpy so that added something unexpected to my experience. My legs are stiff now, but that’s ok. Toad in the hole for tea, yum.

Top tip to tell if that MG TF is a 160 or not - pop the reg in the DVLA checker thing, which tells you the emissions g/km figure, then search for that on somewhere like Parkers website which tells you the emissions for each variant. Or don’t, just ask the owner. (This yellow un’s a 135)

Looked like a good car show was some good old classics but not the BMW but the old one was great or the Mercedes and even Nigel fitted in nicely with everyone I do like my fords see so many MK1 or MK2 escorts gets boaring looked a good day out
