I think this is the first Ellery Queen mystery. By Mannay & Lee. Two cousins. And it’s a great deductive dive into the Queen household. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wikipedia does have it listed as the first Ellery Queen novel. The French Powder novel is listed as the second one. The authors were publicly known as Frederic Dannay and Manfred Lee who invented their partnership to be called by the pseudonym of their superlative detective “Ellery Queen”.

Poor narration. Hard to make any distinction between characters. Pity, I did want to listen to the great Ellery Queen mysteries.
