Please watch the Cove and Blackfish. Don't support these industries, capturing young dolphins from their mothers often all the way in Japan shipping them over and placing them in tiny disgusting tanks so you guys can "ride them" they're intelligent gentle beings and belong in the wild not in some grotty tank. You may think you not going will impact it, but it will. If everyone decided not too support these disgusting companies they wouldn't run. Please Ellie and Jared, educate yourselves

Oh my god. They're in Florida. It doesn't matter how much sunscreen you put on, you'll probably still get a sunburn. Especially if you're outside all day. And the dolphin thing, the dolphins are fine. If they really cared, they'd probably be lashing out.

I'm not a fan of the captive dolphin situation either. But regarding the "sunburn", you can't be 100% sure that he has a burn. The camera's white balance can be off and/or his mood could've made him redder (crying, mad, etc). Later in the video his skin color looked more normal and he seemed happy, not in pain. :)

I totally agree. I went swimming with wild dolphins a while ago in the Bahamas. I would never do it again because everybody now knows that we should appreciate their right to live free in their natural habitat. Those concrete pools cause dolphins a lot of distress. I give Harry Styles (amongst other celebs) a lot of credit for speaking out about this issue and asking people to protest and ban parks like these which do nothing for the quality of these animals lives. I do the exact same thing for abused people by buying fair trade whenever possible. Sadly, human beings can do some pretty low things.

You people trying to "educate" others need to educate yourselves. Yes some places are bad. Yes some places are good. The bad ones pick animals out of their families in the wild. The good ones RESCUE abandoned/injured animals, rehabilitate them and then they get too dependent on people and cannot be released. This is one of the top rehabilitation facilities in the world. Animal enslavement is terrible, but in a good number of times it's apparent, there's a reason. Sometimes it's to preserve the species, sometimes for the sake of the animals health( if it were injured and needing medical attention) sometimes these animals can't or don't want to be reintroduced into the wild because they can't fend for themselves. I mean many moons ago dogs and cats and all the animals we have as domesticated pets, weren't always that way, but over time they evolved to adapt to domesticated living. It's not ideal, but sometimes it's necessary and having the dolphins participate in these activities keeps them in shape and interacting with people. It's known dolphins in the ocean are no shy animals towards humans, they're friendly creatures who domestic or wild enjoy human contact.

Just going to put it out there, half of you who say you don't support animal captivity, eat meat. Do you think animals are treated with respect in slaughter houses and put to death peacefully? Not at all, it's animal captivity and every time you take a bite into your steak, chicken, and etc. you're supporting it. Ellie and Jared have eaten meat so many times in their vlogs and there hasn't been nearly this much talk about it as when they were riding dolphins, much more peacefully than those animals that are slaughtered I should say. Ellie and Jared are just trying to enjoy their kids and document their kids day to day lives. That is not true! Animals in farms have an okay life, but not the packaged animals you buy at the supermarket. Those went to slaughter houses and those poor babies were tortured right from birth. They only get to feed from their mother's milk because they'll probably end up dying if they don't. They're hurdled into cages and fed only what's going to make them useful. If they don't grow, they're thrown away, like trash, after being slaughtered, and for absolutely no reason. I would also like to thank you for the shame, but I am much too educated, vegan, and kind for it to be necessary. Save the animals, don't support slaughter houses. If you're going to eat meat (which I don't think you should because there's no way to kill something peacefully unless you inject it with something to numb their entire body which ps you'd be consuming as well) get it from a farm. Farms do give their animals a better life before death, but death is never needed, so keep that in mind.

dolphins LOVE performing and the attention of humans....even in the wild....and programs like where they went are very beneficial for animal rehabilitation and education....they are a not for profit organization...yes they may charge for the experience and things HOWEVER those funds are used for the care of the animals....food and medicine is not free....many of the animals that are there have came in injured or sick...and they are not always able to be released back into the wild for various reasons....maybe the illness that brought them into the facility in the 1st place is something that they will need meds and medical care for the rest of their lives....there are also some injuries that while no noticeable in these tanks could be life threatening out in the open waters....rather than put these animals down because of their inability to survive in the wild they use them in programs such as this....maybe if you learned their story and why they are there (like Ellie and Missy did) then you too would understand... regardless of how you feel about SeaWorld or any other place like that don't base your opinion on some "documentary" that you see....Blackfish is NOT an accurate portrayal of the real operations of places like SeaWorld.... anymore than Jerry Springer is an accurate portrayal of american people.... or The Kardashians are an accurate portrayal of rich people....not all "documentaries" are 100% accurate..... not saying that there aren't bad places that should be shut down but SeaWorld isn't one of them
