Elliot - just be careful where you plant the mint, it goes like wildfire and will grow over everything, it really needs to be in a box of its own. I love mint and it is lovely torn into pieces in salads, so refreshing. Mint and watermelon is a delightful drink

Eliot looked everywhere, and finally found topsy tom tomatoes. in England they are "tumbling tom". so excited. never heard of that kind of compost, but I see it's acidic. so you could add some sulfur to the soil in the pot. (like next year) and congrats to Matt for the new job, and PROMOTIONS.

What was the name of the tree like plant you put in a pot with special compost?

It was an Acer (Japanese Maple). They come in many colours-some orange leaved, some red leaved as well as the green. They like acidic soil so plant in, or add to soil, some ericaceous compost.
