I first heard this work over 50 years ago and it was immediately captivating...especially because it demonstrates several times Carter's concept of metric modulation❗❗❗

Well done. Bravo. One simply for taking on this materpiece. Two for the performance. Three because the dynamics of the harpsichord present quite well. Fourth, the recording is stellar. A masterpiece of the small ensemble. One of the greatest works for a quartet ever written regardless the instruments. Mr Carter would be proud.

I cant think of any other Carter piece that has repetitive conclusions.

This is a stellar performance of one of my all-time favorite pieces. Carter (along with Wuorinen) really knew how to make compelling music in a 12-tone universe. Messiaen will always be my favorite composer, but this piece puts Carter not too far behind. By the way, it's spelled "harpsichord", not "harpisochord".
