Wow! This was my first show. He slept on my friend's couch that night. It was too crazy and frat-like so I don't recall if the Softies stayed that night or not. Can't blame them. I didn't stay either.

@@j.b.8546 Yes, you are right. Maybe he was drunk or on MJ for this show, but he didn’t get heavy into the hard stuff until later part of the Figure 8 tour in 2000. He tried rehabs, then found something that worked the summer of 2002 and he got off the hard stuff. Not sure if he was totally sober that whole year, but he was sober when he died.

If there was anything I'd bet he felt secure about, it was his guitar playing. Though he always downplayed it in interviews and such, muscle memory is one thing you can pretty much always rely on.

Chiba knew he had drug problems, but in his final year he was completely sober and even planning to leave her, because she was the one w drug problems and seeing therapists, he also was planning more studio material and going to a tour to europe the week after his death. Not to mention that it's still yet an open case.
