I don't know new plugs and fresh oil change really does make a difference. Better spark ignition makes for a smoother running engine.

Oil sheers down a grade usually around 3-4k miles or so, the filter looked pretty bad so I'd say it has more mileage than that on it. New slightly thicker oil will feel smoother that and new plugs might make a neglected car feel a bit smoother. Liquimoly is good stuff, the additive just amends the oil, liquimoly is good oil but doesn't have a stout an add pack as something like amsoil so if you need more protection because you run your engine hard you can use the additive. What they should have done is put the liquimoly oil stop leak product in considering the mileage and known leak(no it won't fix the big valve cover leak but might help swell some other seals considering the mileage.

I use to fly canceled cheques in Ted Smith Aerostar. That was a long time ago, I was upgraded from a Piper Aztec to it. Funky fuel system. One of the pilots at the company I worked for did a max performance take-off, and the seat slid back and did a takeoff and departure stall right into a spin, and well it killed him. God that 43 years ago. I flew it for about 18 months then I got a job flying Beech 18's.

If you think lubricant to lubricant is counter intuitive check IKEA mattress cover. They have mattresses, mattress covers, covers for those and then there is fitted sheet that needs to wrap around all those layers.

Just so you know: there ARE additives that fill the pores in machine parts....even hard steel machined surfaces have imperfections that cause friction. Some coatings, like teflon, fill those pores and make them smoother so the oil can work better.

Liqui Moly Mos2 works. BMW guys swear by it for it helps rev smoothly on higher rpms. Mine did make my engine quieter and now revs smoothly esp at higher rpms and not because of oil change.

Just so you know, my 01 e320 has "4" cabin air filters and 2 of them are carbon. So la di da! Lol I had an 03 530i several years ago. I loved the way it drove. It was an automatic but still. I babied that car except on the freeway. I washed and waxed it with Zymol almost every week. I still don't know the difference between a 528 and a 530. They do have the same 3 litre i6 so what's the diff? Is that the main airport in Wichita on the west end off Kellog? I haven't been there in ages.

Add some Restore next oil change, use twice a year. Tested and proven to raise compression. I use it on all my vehicles with over a 100k. Can feel the difference right away. No knock under load, smoother and quieter. Been using since 2000 on my hoopties.

I guess I should Mannsplain this: for those of you not in the know, Mann and Wix are both manufactured by Mann+Hummel, which has US facilities in Gastonia, NC. Since I’ve seen how WatchJRGo prefers Wix XP oil filters, I’ve starred using them in my 05 Sierra. I’m assuming they are doing a decent job because I’m not seeing any issues with my oil (was using ACDelco filters before), but my oil pressure does seem to be running a bit lower. Will have to test this theory further and switch back to ACDelco for at least the next oil change.

I believe they also manufacture the NAPA store-brand filters, and did supply some DELCO brand filters to GM, at least in the past, not sure if that's still the case

the point of the LM anti-friction additive is to create a polished mirror finish between the parts so they can have less friction over time, for its effect one should wait at least 1,000 miles, check its online data sheet for more info

As Someone who used Liquimoly exclusively in his old Volvo S60 (2.4 T5, 5 banger. Basically an S60 R Lite), I can attest to the 5w40 Leichtlauf oil, Pro Line engine flush, and the Ceratec additive. This is my first go with the MoS2 additive, but if you want the utmost in smoothness, the Ceratec is better. You thought it was smooth now? Ceramic coating your bearings is even smoother.

Cabin filters always look iffy when they are charcoal infused...but yeah, yours were not in optimal condition. Let's get the VCG done, trans fluid drain/refill (that should be sparkly), diff fluid change, and get Jacob the AC he clearly deserves.

Funny story, I use the LiquiMoly oil with the green trace dye to find leaks. I used the UV light and it looked radioactive from all the fluorescent oil leaks everywhere.
