A friend of mine living in Helsinki was at this gig and tipped me off to have a listen to some of her music. Funny to find out that she's actually doing a cover of a band which was famous in my country (The Netherlands) in the 60's and 70's i.e. Shocking Blue's 'Send me a postcard' Another proof that music is universal and brings love and peace to all corners of the world! :)

In fact Shocking Blue was also very famous in Finland too, at 70's they had some hits on lists here too. I remember very well when example "Venus" came from the radio quite often and I still have some songs of them on memory stick in my car radio, example "Never marry a railroad man"...Mariska Veres (R.I.P) had quite nice and unique voice. When speaking about music, need to remember that our number one band, Nightwish, have vocalist from Netherlands and my opinion is that she (Floor Jansen) is The Queen of the all female rock/metal singers. @@TTK2013 Hahaha... yes well would you believe many many years ago my Helsinki friend and i already mentioned Floor as substitute if/when Tarja would ever decide to leave Nightwish but as history proved the band choose to take another singer first... ;) Speaking of Anneke, she will be around at yours by the end of the month doing a few festival gigs so here's your perfect oportunity to kidnap her as well!! :)
