Ellis, really enjoyed this one. I spent a week in L.A. August 1974, before I deployed to Okinawa. Im sure I listened to this great station 93 KHJ.

Dad took.his mechanic schooling at the L.A. County fairgrounds at Pomona before shipping out to the South Pacific during WWII, he also spent time on Okinawa as well, thank you for your service 😊

KHJ, one of the premier Top 40 stations back in the day, went country in 1980. I forget how long it lasted, but the commercial announcing the flip said "We all grew up to be cowboys."
