Adalind was just being too much.

Adalind grew to love Diana once she was born, but ended up having her ripped from her arms by the very people she had trusted with her daughter's life when Renard gave their child to the Royals. The reason her perspective changed was because she was afraid of the same thing happening to Kelly since he's also half Grimm. On top of that, she gave up her Hexenbeast willingly the second time to prove that the serum worked and was leff vulnerable to Juliette, who proved to be even more powerful than her even with her Hexen. Over time, what with being dependant on Nick and the others, she realized how much she crazed power as a Hexenbeast and how much that power would cost her. I didn't like adalind in the beginning, I will admit, but I did like how she grew as a person and wasn't the selfish, manipulative blond that she was known for by the end.
