Elma Orkestra & Ryan Vail present Borders
While much has been made of their 2019 ‘Album of The Year’ victory at the Northern Irish Music Prize, ‘Borders’ - the electro-acoustic collaborative album of Elma Orkestra and Ryan Vail - also saw a shortlisted nomination for ‘Best Live Act’.
Those who have witnessed it first-hand are sure to agree. An audio/visual spectacle that combines the forward-thinking modernity of Vail and delicate composition of Orkestra, ‘Borders’ is an experience that must be seen to be believed.
A symphony of electronic and analogue components combines to enhance the live ‘Borders’ show beyond its natural boundary. For this special recorded Earagail Arts Festival performance, ‘Borders’ comes from a secret, outdoor Donegal location where the land meets the sea and frontiers fuse.
Special thanks to the artists, film and production crew, Aideen Doherty, Con Doherty and Seamus Coyle, in the making of this presentation.
