Same i wanted someone like torts with an edge and Todd is always saying the right things, making people aware of they had a bad game. Whenever someone comes to the bench he is always fired up or communicating trying to help people. Lalonde was just trying to make it out of the game alive not even trying to make people better etc

he's full of it. "you want to create a reward culture", speaking about Soderblom getting rewarded for his efforts in GR w the callup. meanwhile he demoted Kane to 4th line last game for one horrible sequence, after Kane had carried the team for the rest of McLellan's tenure here before that. nice reward culture. no rewards possible, only punishments, for certain guys it would seem.

Am I the only one who thinks this Elmer call up is a non-typical yzerman move? I love it. Well deserved, and it puts pressure on the guys in the bottom 6 to perform or lose their spot. I think if Mclellan is happy with him he will stay up. Maybe he’s a trade target so they are showcasing him at his peak?

@ good take. Either way I like that yzerman is not staying stagnant. The new coach bump was nice but it’s not enough. And I think this call up is just the beginning of some roster moves throughout the remainder of the season

Moranic fans youst to say the same about Yzerman yet is one of the best leaders to ever play the game. Biggest proof of a leader is when their missing and we seen what happens when he is out o the line up.
