Ok, so I've been wondering, with as many changes to the holder of the portfolio of God of Magic back and forth, and the Spellplague, and AAAAALLLLLL the crazy intraplanar back and forth, and Aebir/Toril intermingling going on, are the restrictive results of Karsus' Folly still in effect, or is there a new possibility of someone casting something like Karsus Avatar or Shatter Sphere again?

I have been a fan of the Realms since I was a child playing Neverwinter Nights. Even to this day I feel like a novice but I am reading more and more, acquiring the ancient texts of 2e and 3e to fill in the many blanks left by 5e, and even am a member on Ed's patreon. Always happy to see these videos as they come out! And am definitely going to need to read more on Larloch if he's a greater threat than Vecna... whose most recent godly antics feature in the Eve of Ruin book.

Well, that’s definitely something to keep in my back pocket for my players if I ever have them go to Neverwinter. Intriguing lore as always! One thing that I would like to learn about is this: Murghôm today. From the various towns, culture, and (most definitely) their rulers, the dragon princes. I’ve been wanting to run a dragon-centric campaign for a while, and this seems like the perfect setting. Have a very Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!

Ok wait. Dungeons and Dragons and TTRPGs in general are arguably at the height of their popularity and injection into pop culture in a positive light, and here I am, finding out that ED FUCKING GREENWOOD only has 59k followers?! Id argue that Gary Gygax built the foundation uppn which Ed Greenwood and Jeff Grubb built probably the greatest fantasy RP world ever. I mean, EVERYONE knows Faerun, EVERYONE knows Baldur's Gate, EVERYONE knows Waterdeep. How many newbies know Oerth, or Flanaess, or Blackmoor? For most players under 30, Greenwood's world IS D&D. You deserve better.

that would probably be the Feast of the Moon. a festival at the end of The Rotting (also known as Uktar; the eleventh month of the calendar of Harptos) it is probably more similar to the feast of winter solstice in real world paeganism, and celebrates the passing of the autumn and the start of the winter in faerun. Its commonly celebrated by a big family gathering and a large dinner. No presents or Santa, but at least the timing and general vibes line up.
